Interesting obs from Shite Mike re: Ball.
And yes I know we r over it.....
I know some might get a laugh.....
Shite Mike at his shiteful best.....
"I am of the opinion he is a better player now than he was when he shared the best-and-fairest at St Kilda with Steven Baker in 2005.
What is beyond dispute is that he is much better than the Saints thought when they were happy to see him go after the 2009 season - for nothing at 25 years of age."

May well be right.Maybe Ross Lyon's game plan is based more on robotic adherence to structure's than Malthouse's.In my opinion Ball,Kozi and NDS (prior to this season) have/had never performed to their GT standards with RL.Was it them or their ability to adapt to his gameplan? On the flip side his game plan seems to enhanced the standing of several lesser lights,Is his game plan Socialist (dragging haves down, lifting have nots up)?
The thing I will never get over is how he ended up at C'wood. Why didn't Melb or Essendon pick him up? Too scared of C'wood? There can be no other explanation. Things may be better at Melb if they had.
And another thing...he left us,turned his back on a 3year deal for no more money. Why does everyone go on that we did not want him? He is a lowlife traitor, a liar, hope the Karma trains hits him soon.

Yes, we were happy to see him go for nothing !!
er..not...we just did not submit to the bully boy tactics of Eddie (don't poach players under contract) McGuire when they offered a s*** pick.
Collingwood have a long history of getting in players ears then offering s*** for them (Nick Stevens anyone?). What goes around comes around and Ball can win as many premierships as he likes, adding his name to the greats likes Greg Williams, Allistair Lynch and Barry Hall, who sold out their mates for a buck. Trevor Barker never played a farkin final but died a far greater man or footballer than these dollar seeking pricks can even dream about.
Barry will always view himself as a dog...rightly so !!

I've stopped watching On the Couch 'cause I can't stand listening to that pr**k anymore.Spinner wrote:Yeah definitely better than 2005 when he was AA ruck rover.
Hate Mike Sheahan. Never any substance in his opinion, just jumps on what's hot right now.
Wonder if he will state he has family links with the Ball family.
So wish Robbo was on the couch instead. Sounds like he'd bea good bloke to have a beer anda smoke with.

Gone from Misson to whoever does the same thing at the Pies and looks different and is different. Chronic ailments are now, it seems, not so.plugger66 wrote:Pretty sure it is being called uninjured.SainterK wrote:So why doesn't anybody ever ask why Luke Ball didn't produce much from 07 onwards?
3 goals in 2009 v 14 so far in 2011?
Instead of saying he is in career best form, ask why it took so long?
How's he recovered/rehab'ed so quickly?
Motivation?
And if so, why wasn't he motivated before?
BTW I'm not insinuating anything. Just asking.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Seriously overrated? OK.Old Mate wrote:Seriously overrated since he joined the Pies. Is he that much better than he was at the Saints in 08/09? Just seems like an average midfielder. I reckon 20 yr old Jack Steven has out-performed him this year. Ball in 05 was an absolute gun though. B & F in a top 4 team and won AA selection.

Curious, what injuries/ailments did he carry in 08,09?

Maybe David Buttifart is a better fitness guy than Misson and that's why Ball is better now than when he dumped the SaintsThinline wrote:Gone from Misson to whoever does the same thing at the Pies and looks different and is different. He was dropped because the club thought he could improve.
Justified?
