If I was RL I would tear strips off them, lazy football from a side that was far from switched on. 4 goals in a half against the Suns who have the worst defence in the comp, we looked as bad as they did going forward.
Think they we're concentrating more on Sea World and Movie World than The Suns.
Sorry guys but I do expect and do know that they can play a lot better than this. This was an opportunity to give our % another boost and put a little bit of fear into the rest of the comp that we we're back.
But 10 goals against the Sun in what appeared pretty good conditions just isn't good enough for a side that is aspiring to the heights we want to get too.

Yeah I meant, it's best to have your stinker yet walk away with the 4 points.saintspremiers wrote:She means we played like girls but still won.bobmurray wrote:No it's notSainterK wrote:.
It's all good.
We should trash Freo next week.
Bye bye Lynch - you ain't AFL standard yet.
Roo was a big out, Fisher may as well have been (shouldn't of played)
Would you rather play like Freo last week and lose, or like us tonight and win, was kind of my point.
At least effort was there.

There is no guarantee the sun will rise tomorrow, but it more than likely will.
I don't care that it's the GC. We travelled interstate, missing our skipper and came away with a 20 point win.
If you're not happy with your team winning, then I don't know why you bother.
it has been around this time that "Kosi" will headbutt a fence, rip a hamstring or belt someone.

If you couldn't see the game was as almost as slippery as the game in Perth then you've had more beers than me.
I'm not sure why people expect this list to trounce sides. We do it once in a blue moon, and that was last week.
Was about the margin and game I expected. Harlem globe trotters we are not. We are not premiership material, time to move on for those who amazingly still hold out

If we play like that in 2 weeks time against the Filth, it will be over before half time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to take the 4 points, but hell, against the opposition we had, I doubt there wasn't a person on this forum who didn't expect at least a 7 goal win plus another 100+ point score, even without Roo.
I'm disappointed in sloppiness of our disposal, we missed targets, delivered very poorly into the forward line, half the time we didn't have anyone in our forward 50 to take advantage of clean possessions in the midfield.
There we're times when it looked like an under 13's game there.
But we got the 4 points, get Roo back next Friday and hope we have had a week off, got away with a win and smash Freo next week.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

....and that load of tosh is exactly why Im very glad the game was up there and not at Etihad. The usual suspects like your good self would have turned up with blood in your nostrils expecting a repeat of Geelong v Melbourne..then spout this sort of nonsense when it doesnt happen..and no doubt Id be in earshot of some of ity and get very freaking frustrated.3rd generation saint wrote:If I was RL I would tear strips off them, lazy football from a side that was far from switched on. 4 goals in a half against the Suns who have the worst defence in the comp, we looked as bad as they did going forward.

I didint see any of the game, hell I only just got home from dinner, but even I know the ball was like a cake of soap and the ground was very greasy. Doesnt excuse all the skill erros no, but it wasnt exactly perfect footy conditions
Rants like this really annoy me as they give NO credit to the opposition. Just for the record, right now GC would probably have beaten last weeks Adelaide side by 10 goals IMO. They arent a bunch of witches hats and Ive just noticed Francis Leach has been very quick to praise them for their effort.
Sorry to you and all your bloodthirsty buddies that it wasnt a onesided slaughter..Im sure RL will be furious...just for you
