Trade for Hawkins or Kerr or both.....
Just wanting to explore the idea of trading for Hawkins, Kerr or perhaps both!
HAWKINS......tall with strong body, solid through the thighs with excellent buttocks. I feel with Hawkins prowling the Saints fwd 50, the team wd have a much more appealing feel. Wd probably work in well with Roo but may find Milney annoying. A more mature body than Kerr, better suited to key positions. Hawks form can often titillate but shows enough to suggest many years of fine service may await.
KERR....smaller, quicker and more precise than Hawkins. Kerr has had a great year and is in wonderful shape, toned legs, silky skills - perhaps a little work on the upper torso wd be appreciated. One can imagine Kerr in several different positions - really, anywhere on the ground wd be great.
Both Kerr and Hawk can sell an exquisite step, and 'my gawd' - have you seen their shirtfronts.!
In my opinion Pelchen/Lyon should give serious thought to trading in these two proven performers with the delicious assets they bring to the table. I must confess I'm imagining Kerr, front and center with Hawkins in the
Sainters fwd 50 in 2012. Might give membership a boost.......

Rat smelt.
A-f*****-gain.
A-f*****-gain.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Hawkins!!!? FFS! I'd sooner go for Fev (and, given my extremely low opinion of Fev, that's a big call).
Kerr is a different matter entirely. Subject to rigorous fitness testing, he's worth a pick in the 20s IMO. Not just your typical recycled player but a genuine gun.

Why in hells name would Kerr want to leave the WCE?
HE has gone through 5 years of pain in a crap team, now they are coming good you think he would want to leave, and the Eagles would seriously consider trading him????

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Hawkins is one of the worst players ever.
Was noticed at junior level because he had a big body, but at AFL you need the fighting mentality which he completely lacks.
Horrible player to watch, does not deserve to be on an AFL list.
Even the thought of him in a stkilda jumper makes me sick.

Hawkins proves that duds can play ok in GF. Other examples include Shane Ellis and Shane Bond for that matter.ralphsmith wrote:Hawkins is one of the worst players ever.

I'd love to see the Saints make a play for John Butcher.
Damian Barrett was rumour-mongering a couple of weeks ago that Butcher was "weighing up his future" at Alberton.

After overcoming a succession of injuries including hip, back, and hamstring, he kicked three goals in his second game back last week.
The question, as always, is what would get the deal done.

Proven what? Proven he can be incredibly inconsistant even with great delivery from a champion side.
Imo until 3 weeks ago his papers were almost stamped at Geelong. You seriously over rate this fellow.
