I don't think Milne is really any different now, to what he was under GT.

He can still go quiet when on a really good defender. This isn't unusual for a small forward.

He can still explode and turn a game.

He still can't tackle!

He still can only play the one position too.

He's still the best small/medium forward going around. Possibly ever.

I'll probably cop a roasting for this, but if you could get an A-Grade midfielder or an elite utility, then I could understand a coach trading him.

If you were going to get anything less than that, then you'd be foolish to trade him.

I think the opposition puts about as much time into Milne as they do Roo these days. If this is the case, I find myself getting cross at other players around him that should have the freedom to lift, and don't.

He is 4th this year for inside 50 tackles, that is pretty good IMO.

It's not that he doesn't tackle - it's that he's not good at it!

He always slips it high.

Horses for courses guys.

Lyon got more out of Milne, but it may have been the scare that GT gave him that gave him motivation to improve under Lyon.

GT might have got more out of other players than Lyon has.

As much as the late Yabby Jeans said that footballers are all sausages, different approaches motivate different footballers. We have all seen players who have performed far better at their second club than their first. And performed better under one coach than another.

Australia...... Live it like we stole it....... Because we did.
