And by Jove, if he happens to reach that milestone in 2011, his men will have to deliver and win on that particularl day. Otherwise, we'll be looking at third straight off-season in the realms Prozac Nation, dwelling over what could have been...Dr Spaceman wrote:And I hope those ten are all in 2011saintbrat wrote:and in ten games time Ross will have coached the Saints longerSainternist wrote:AMENSt Lenny wrote:Seriously, GT left 5 years ago, I think its time to move on

exactly... Milne had to do some growing up also, after "that" event, and with getting dropped he saw the reality clearly written in front of him, being in a relationship may have helped alsoZac Attack wrote:oh how the majority forget...desertsaint wrote:reckon lyon was ready to ditch milne too - dropped him, gave him an ultimatum, milne responded (as did dal).
Gt's concerns still remain (apart from the moral issue)
and yes it would be nice to quash them in a winning grand final, but until then

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Re: GRANT THOMAS
Yep, done. 2 goals in each granny and smashed Hunt in the qualifier. I think he's done.Helen wrote:We need him to be a champion in the finals and more importantly the Grand Finals.barks4eva wrote:If Thomas had stayed he was getting rid of Milne, oh dear what a FAIR DINKUM absolute clueless buffoon we had running the joint.
Players like Milne are the soul of the club you don't just show them the door.
Milne is a champion, a gun and one of the best small forwards in the history of the game.
Yet Thomas stated categorically that had he not been sacked Milne's papers were stamped, he was out the door and would no longer have been at the club!
What a FAIR DINKUM imbecile!
Had Thomas not been given the flick, Milne would have played his very last game for St Kilda in 2006!
Thankfully this ignoramus was exited out and Milne exited back in!
To all the nuffies, nongs, ninnies, numbskulls numbnuts and clueless cretins who still think the sun shines out of Thomas's arse, ( yes these vacuous ones still exist believe it or not ) pull your heads out of your own and get a FAIR DINKUM CLUE!
Milne is magic!

Clearly. That's why he's the media's go-to man for all bad comments about the club that he apparently loves so much.hungry for a premiership wrote:I'm not a fan of Grant Thomas bashers.

Ah yes......"I was under duress...."BigMart wrote:What, his income entitlements.....should he forego those???
What a few hundred grand though?
He eats pressure for breakfast but signs away leave entitlements under "duress"....................doesnt strike me as a duress type guy...
Ah well, he still warbles on about all the "intangibles" (mental toughness, belief clouds etc blah blah)which is all just an excuse to make up for his lack of pure football technical ability as a coach.....which Lyon has in spades THANK GOD.

Regardless of which - you can't sign away a statutory entitlement. The CFO and particularly the president should take the rap for that one.Teflon wrote:He eats pressure for breakfast but signs away leave entitlements under "duress"....................doesnt strike me as a duress type guy...
Personally I think the president tried to sweep the entitlement under the carpet, the board were furious that no records had been kept and probably his neck was on the line.
On the other hand, insisting on an overseas trip that was worth as much as the annual recruiting budget, while Collingwood were spending triple on recruiting, was the coach's call.
