Agree, awful.bigcarl wrote:Yep, and these people call themselves supporters.fingers wrote:The bronx cheers that Raph got last night when he got the ball were a fkn disgrace.
So he made some errors, and it wasn't his best game.
Big deal.
Some people around me were almost living for it, hungry for an error.

I couldn't go last night as my wife had a girls night out so had the pleasure of watching the boys destroy the crows whilst relaxing on the couch.
Two things put a real dampener on a great night-
The horrendous commentary from McAvaney & Cometti
&
The disgraceful bronx cheers that some of our inbred f$%wit supporters gave Raph.

No mention of the match up he was given?
No 2 from Adelaide, and in the goal square.
Giving away height and weight and gave the guy a real towelling.
In terms of "awareness", you are entitled to rely on your teamates, their voice as to whether you are "hot", should "hold" or "go" - and their physical protection of the ball carrier.
We seemed to want to play a faster pace of footy last night, with attacking handballing and frequently going that one too many which sold a player into no space.
But at 19 goals to 3 who is complaining?
Sometimes handballing to a player running out of space happended - but more often we had very effective run and carry.
Riewoldt kicked into the man on the mark with a set shot at goal - and shanked a couple of others.
So when Clarke had the ball from a mark and looked to spread there was no player free and no player working to get free - so the only ultimate option was down the line where Jacobs was perched so he went there looking for a defensive punch to clear the boundary line (how often did particularly McEvoy do this to Adelaide's taller brigade?) but overcooked it.
Even Gwilt and Fisher do the same.
Listening to some ill-informed comment (such as when he side-stepped thru the middle "wonder he did not stuff that up too") and looking at the types who pass such comment you really have to worry about Australian "culture" and what type of people we are.
Read the Editorial of "The Age" today and you will see what I mean.
This bullying and rudely aggressive and threatening attitude is seen as toughness by many.
It isn't.
And the racism which leads much of our "debate" in Australia is alive and well.
Listen to the comments re Clarke then look at those making them and they are symbolic of the beer swilling, obese, aggresive and ugly types who are an embarrasment to Australia.

yes we all had our boo Raph chants going beautifully, even when he didn't have the ball.plugger66 wrote:Worst part it was in the Moorabbin wing area. Came through loud and clear on the telly too. Disgusting.
Unfortunately i got into trouble because i wasn't booing him loud enough and was concentrating on giving it to the dud Riewoldt. Apparently when he goes near the ball the call is "Roooooo" not "booooo".
So sorry my bad.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

The club has really failed to develop Raph's attacking game since he's been with us.
He was an attacking, skilled player when he was drafted and he looks SO SO GOOD when he's breaking lines, bursting through packs, pinpointing passes on the run and finding space.
He seems to play as an attacking midfielder more in the 2s too (at least when he started)
It doesn't seem to be his natural game anymore though. I really think he ought to play in the midfield just a little bit more

I don't think anyone can hide that behind bigotry
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

I am biased, but I thought that Raph would have been in our best players for the game against the Suns.
Took some good defensive marks when it counted.
Just cant help having my heart in my mouth with his disposals.... you can get the very good to the quite bad randomly.

th guy has the potential to be another grammy type
off half back link and run and kick em from 50
id back him in if he gets lose thru the middle to run and have a pin every time
even if he missed, keep f****** going
he only gets caught when he just sees nothing ahead
f*** it raph, keep running son and sidestep em
get enough speed up and they wont catch you just dont slow down'
back yaself in
been playing well
booing your own player is just unreal
been great since he came back, get a clue about the game those that dont

I think the irony is the one guy that will run up and make some real space on their opponent is Gamble, how many times do you see him down the wings running into space for the kicker. Often Gram and Raph and even Fisher are left to try to find someone free only to watch as manned up players stand still. Goddard and Dal back their kicking to make space but we leave the backs high and dry too often.

if no option up forward head for goal
just dont kick it to a two on one contest
gotta be better than hesitating and getting pinged for holding the cherry
