Generally, teams which surrender six goal leads get run over. I thought we were gone just before three quarter time, but breaks can always change a game. In the end, sheer willpower got us there, and a couple of pieces of brilliance, both from Zac Dawson. There was the game turning mark and then the pass, really the only pinpoint we made all night. Others (like Dean Polo, Clint Jones and Adam Schneider) refused to let the ball past them.

it wasnt that classic, we should of never been behind in the first place.
"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

I wouldn't watch that third quarter again even if you paid me.
But hopefully the players will watch it, see just what went wrong, and learn from it.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

I never mind watching a bad quarter if we go onto win. In fact, I rather enjoy watching opposition players and supporters celebrating (prematurely) their inevitable win.Enrico_Misso wrote:I wouldn't watch that third quarter again even if you paid me.

The players didn't need to wait for the video review to redress matters. That was done during the break and played out in the last quarter. Allan Jean's malapropism was never more relevant. The crossroads had been arrived at. We could either step up or step down. The players, as a group, stepped up.

missed the first quarter, again - must be a subconscious protective mechanism against getting my hopes up, then dashed. the number of times i have to watch second quarters as my introduction to saints footy 2011 - this one was pleasurable in comparison to most. the third quarter i prayed the eagles would hit the lead before the siren. once they did i was reasonably confident, even if we did start the fourth a man down in attack!
