Guerra is the other one. Apparently there was a lot of money on him for last goal of the 2004 Prelim.

NORTH Melbourne chairman James Brayshaw has hit out at the AFL for letting Collingwood defender Tyson Goldsack escape a fine for his role in a betting scandal.

The rival club's boss said yesterday he was confused as to why Goldsack was not sanctioned when his mother won $400 for placing a $5 bet on him to kick the first goal in last year's replayed Grand Final.

On Friday Goldsack's captain, defender Nick Maxwell, was fined $10,000, half of which was suspended.

His family members placed bets on him to kick the first goal in a Round 9 game against Adelaide, after he told them he would be playing in the forward line.

Mr Brayshaw's comments came as:

No wonder it seemed the air had been sucked out of the MCG, even as the Magpies took control of the contest. For one game at least, the swagger had gone out of Collingwood's step. The players, Malthouse would say later, had been flat and distracted after the betting scandal. He did not say what toll his paid appearance on The Footy Show had taken
