RIP To A SS Poster
Today is a very sad day for my family
The sometimes poster on here known as Duggie passed away this morning after a brave battle with the same disease Yabby Jeans had.
A beautiful, lovely man who was a Salvo, War Veteran and Life Long Sainter. He managed to hang on to hear of the birth of his Great Grandson yesterday (another little Sainter has come into the world).
He loved the Club and this website so very much.
He is now with the angels, Doc, Yabby and Trev looking down on us all. I hope we can get a win for him tonight.
Some of you "oldies" may remember a banner from back in the day that said "Docs Dazzlers"....well that was him.
RIP Duggie and to Born In Moorabbin (who is his daughter) and the rest of my family my the love, hugs and prayers go to you.

The deepest sympathy from all the "jigging" family here I'm not sure whether this will provide any comfort, but someone, (wiser than I) wrote these words:
"death ends a life, but it cannot end a relationship, as this will endure in the hearts and memories of those who survive"
I never met Duggie but already see how much of an impact he made on those who came into contact with him. The relationship WILL endure and once the pain and grief of the loss subside you will be left with a lifetime of precious memories.
I do hope that our team can win tonight for all those Sainters who have passed away and for those who are left behind to carry the torch!
If we win tonight Maxstar, the Jiggster will sing the song EXTRA LOUD for Duggie and Yabby!!
GOSAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a top bloke! Condolences to his family.
As sad as events like these are, I just got the feeling it would have been a very happy and blissfull passing, having held on long enough to hear his great grandchild for the first time - something very poetic and beautiful about that!
Thoughts are with friends and family
