"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Jones and Dempster win.Sam23 wrote:Priddis.SainterK wrote:Winning form.
Kerr out is significant, who does Jones play on now?
Dempster goes to Embley who is having a sensational season.

Could be an option.SainterK wrote:I was also thinking Gilbert to Embley, Dempster to LeCras?Sam23 wrote:Priddis.SainterK wrote:Winning form.

I feel Gilbert will go to LeCras as he usually does.

No point in tagging Priddis. He'll get 30 touches and 10 clangers regardless of who plays on him. This is a good chance to have 3 ball-winning mids in the center all day rather than constantly having a tagger in there. If Jones takes anyone it might be Embley.
Very strange emergencies. Three small negating players? Leaving Roo as our only tall forward against Glass/Schofield and McEvoy as our only ruck against Cox and Naitanui? Not to mention we could have brought Blake in to help out with Lynch, Kennedy and Darling to free up Fisher or Gwilt. I really hope this isn't another game lost because of stubborn, conservative selection.

So Cox and Nic Nat will likely win the majority of the hitouts, they are ranked first in the comp, but who does WCE have that is going to rove it?
Maybe a few, but their major clearance winning mid is out.
We now have the luxury of tagging another mid out of the game, just how deep does their ball winning depth go?
I am warming to the idea.

Lyon admitted that St Kilda was in a quandary on the crucial ruck area, where Nic Natanui and Dean Cox have been dominant for West Coast.
He said he was tossing up a lot of options and may not have a clear view until shortly before Saturday night's game begins.
Lyon has nominated in-form Ben McEvoy as a certain starter in the centre but is uncertain as to who will help him carry the ruck load.
"We've had a few options (like) Tommy Lynch ... Zac Dawson has rucked a little bit and Sam Fisher and Nick Riewoldt has been around the ground.
"Then do you look at Jason Blake who is mobile ... or Justin Koschitzke who has finished his suspension.
"Our VFL team has a bye so there will be no indicator on the weekend so you might have to wait until the first bounce," he said.
Unusual comments given the 3 emergencies - unless they bring in Koschitzke or Blake late, and cop a hefty fine
