bit hard to kick goals with only one peg.....saints66 wrote:Carl's debut best ever I have seen as a Sainter. He spent the whole game taking 'marks of the year' - jumping over everyone with his flowing long blond hair and his athleticism. Fantastic player!
Incidently Dean Greig is Assistant Coach at Whitehorse Pioneers, third Division EFL. If they stuck him in the goal square, I'm sure he would still dominate.

David Legge. 3 game player for the Saints and star of cheap late night TV commercials.
A guy who looked like Jimmy Hannan, and played like him too.
Nonetheless Game One:
Kicks - 10
Marks - 4
Handballs - 1
Goals - 3
Behinds - 3
Not a bad effort. Unfortunately only 5 possessions the week after and a wait of 11 months for his third and final game for the club.

Was there to see Carl's debut, he was outstanding all day, but ran into big John next week against Carlton and being so young was given a football lesson. Dean Greig was also outstanding in his debut but i think Plugger may have kicked 16 goals that game. There has never been a debut in VFL or AFL to compare with John Coleman's 12 goals. I still consider him the best footballer I ever saw who would have been brilliant in any key position on the ground.
Does'nt seem to worry or effect him Stinger - once a good player always a good player - would do better on one leg than many of the namby panby players of today
