Walsh will be in next week. They r groomIng him as a forward who plays the second ruck role.

Noticed that. Played majority forward today.

Took two good grabs. Dropped two or three he should have taken.

But if he leaves, the Zebras will have no one to kick their goals.

Our drafting and player development is the envy of many...

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Sandy looked insipid today, though the Bullants are obviously a great team.

But I love the hurly-burly of the VFL and the crowd interaction.

One humorous example today was in the last quarter when Bullant No 13 rolled his ankle in the middle of the ground and refusing help from trainers hobbled very very slowly to the bench.
Some wag yelled out "Get off the ground you sook".
Player 13 replied "F$#%ing come here and say that".
Magical stuff.
You just don't get that in AFL. :D

Yeah I miss local level footy, used to lovewatching the zebs and now living in SA I'm just not that keen to pick a new team.

Loved jumping the fence every Sunday then getting into the banter with opposition supporters - a little like the animal enclosure.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

But we flew 2 others over and Siposs was at the sandy match?
We wouldn't normally keep 3 reserves in the stands would we?

Yeah it's a bit strange to hear Siposs was at the Sandy game. Not sure what happened there.

It's also a pity Geary didn't get a game somewhere as he's missed a lot of footy this year.

Would we look at Tyson thomas now? They say he has improved a bit since last season.

Would he come in instead of Kosi or do you think they will go for experience?

Walsh must be close going on these Sandringham reports and has come too far to be allowed to pack off back to Ireland.

We could do with a strong body up forward to allow us to deliver it quickly to a contest.

I am generally against picking up players that have some family connection to the club unless they are genuinely the best player that we can get. I was a little skeptical when I had heard we had drafted a "Nicholas Winmar", but he does look like he will become a good player…
If Tyson Thomas is the best player at a certain pick in the draft then sure let's get him in…

I think Tyson would probably only require a rookie spot at his age and the mature age rookies I can think of would be Miles Sewell and Malcolm Lynch one of the three would be nice as they all have some really good points.
