Lockett's first 100 wearing number 14

Post: # 1100871Post Devilhead »

8th August 1987 - Round 19 vs Footscray - Lockett kicks his first 100 wearing number 14 - only time he kicked 100 wearing numer 14

This particular jumper was raffled off in the social club after the game - dirt and all

In memorablia terms is ther anyone who might know how much this particular gameday jumper worth??

Obvious jokes aside - would be interested to know

Cheers

Are you saying you have this jumper, or just wondering how much it would be worth to the person who did buy it?

How much did it go for on the day?

You'd think such an item would creep up to the $1250-$1500 mark in value most likely.

I have the boot that Plugger kicked his 100th goal with that day, bronzed and mounted at home.

What do you think is worth more the jumper or the boot?

Tony Lockett wore many numbers over various seasons. He played 281 games throughout his career, and 183 of those games were with St. Kilda.

In his first year, 1983, he wore the number 37.

From the year 1984 until 1987, Lockett wore the number 14 jumper.

Lockett wore the number 14 in the year he won the Brownlow medal, 1987.

From 1998 until 1994, Lockett wore the number 4 jumper.

Made a huge impact on me whilst wearing the #14 jumper hence my username! Have worn the # 14 throughout my playing days because of him.

Are you seriously offering to sell the jumper?
If so, please send me a PM with a rough estimate of the price that you are looking for.

When Plugger changed to no. 4, I changed to 4 from 9.

I remember it was sort of a big decision personally - I'd worn 9 for a few tears.
4 became, and still is my fave number. Used to go the pub Saturday arvo's and just put bet after bet on number 4 horses all over Australia.

Most weeks would win stuff all but every now and then a heap would salute. Those became bigger days and nights...

That guernsey would have the Hugall & Hoile sponsorship patch on it.

Plugger was honoured with the #4 guernsey in 1988 by his coach, Doc.

I haven't heard back.
Do you have them?
Are you selling them?

Apologies MinUSA

Yep its hanging in the closet but no its not for sale - was just trying to get an idea of its worth

The jumper was raffled off in the social rooms after the Rd 19 match so it didn't cost anything

Nice piece of memorabilia given Plugger only kicked 100 once wearing number 14 and it was his brownlow year as well

Hope it's more unique than the footy he kicked the 100 with DH.

Last time I heard I think they'd raffled off a dozen of those
