I think Lyon will ask us not to score for the whole game next week and go for a 0-0 draw or maybe we might sneak a rushed behind and win 1-0

They're only just above Gold Coast (on percentage) and just lost to Brisbane. They're a rabble.

Regardless of how poor we are this just can not be lost...

I'd like to keep on in the same direction, and bring in another kid though, get a game into someone else like a Tommy or Siposs.

I reckon Geary is also a chance to sub and get a quarter or so under his belt, and Crocker would be getting close to.

How poor are we?
Only the 4th team to win after the bye against an opponent that played the previous week... the other three teams who managed this are all current top 4.

S.hit that poor.

Are we the only team to win twice coming off the bye?

Yeah but don't get too excited, only three teams have had their second bye up to this weekend.

Bragging rights over Gold Coast... whoop.

Banana skin fixture. Bring our A-Game and we win no worries. Anything less and we leave the door open.

Port are one of the worst teams in the comp. If we play like we did today against north - 1 good half including 1 great quarter and patchy form for ythe rest, we'll win, no problemo.

The Pear have been travelling OK (for a team that's second last), close against Weagles in the West, North (their bogey team) came from behind to know 'em off the next week, close against the Lions in Kwoinsland...won't be a pushover...they still get into our heads.

Hopefully they're fatiguing from travel, and with so many young players, we should beat 'em. If we lose, we might as well lose all of the rest of our games too.

Ok, so in the Coming Off A Bye Ladder, we're top 2, but in the real ladder we're 12th, so our season would be generally regarded as 'poor'....

2009 from my memory...

It was round 2 (or 3), and we had beaten the Swans, unconvicingly, in Round 1 after a strong second half..

I remember at half time of that round 1 game, I was scratching my head, thinking we were in for a long, tough year, we were playing terribly... Came out after half time and ran over them...

In the follwing game against Port, away, we implemented the game style that would take us through the season 20-2 perfectly, and I was blown away by what I saw...

They had no answers, and the game was pretty much played almost exclusively in our forward half...

That was the match it all clicked for us in '09 IMO, and we went on from there, bar the most important match of all...
