Beautiful goal on the run from Goddard thanks to some quality clearance work from Joey. He's critical to our centre work in Hayes' absence.

For those who are saying McEvoy is playing above his age etc. keep in mind he's probably only 6 months younger than Goldstein... I absolutely love that bloke, he will be a multiple all-australian.
Lynch is looking really good, could spell the end for Gamble.
I still believe this is a better team when we have a few youngsters in the side.

probably only one - he'll be subbed off at this rate. (unless armo is)plugger66 wrote:Are sides picked at half time? He has been ordinary but give him at least another quarter or two.goddardisgod wrote:Very happy with Lynch, seems to be playing 2nd ruck. Effective foil.
Gamble, hiwever, is ready to return to the reserves.

Our stars are playing better, and that's allowing some younger guys to get into the game. When Roo kicks goals we are a different team. When he doesn't get in the game, or misses, it seems to suck the life out of us.
Suddenly Tom Lynch had two blokes on him late in that quarter. Roo normally has three! With a couple to look after, it opens up the forward line for us.
Got to keep this up!

Nice to see Armo and Steven doing some quality grunt work with big Mac going well agianst the Roos Ruckmen.
Nice to see peake and Polo having a good game.
Some of these second teir players are carrying the load for the likes of bj and Roo and are making them look like the stars they are.
Gilbo having a game as well, Zac holding Petrie well.

Goldstein is a brilliant talent... In saying that, no love lost for Mac tho, he's a gem...
We must continue with pushing young guys like Lynch through permanently... Siposs is next in line, and will flourish alongside Roo, Kosi and Lynch when given a good run of games again...
Gamble, although only half time, has hopefully played his last games for the Saints...
