I thought general consensus was that Ross was doing a good job? Or have we taken the rose coloured glasses off???

After getting to two GF's in a row u wouldnt want to push him out the door.

Oh when the saints go charging in!

Straight swap: Clarko and Buddy for RL and Roo.

Nothing article, just pure speculation.

And even if he was considering leaving, why would he come to the Saints, an old team on the way down.

Jeez, is the situation that dire that we have to sack our coach already?

Define kids?

Smith is 22, Puopolo 23, Lisle 21....

No different to Armo, Steven and McEvoy getting a regular go.

Savage and Shiels are 20, but Ledger Siposs Cripps Winmar have played this year so I don't see the big deal?

It's only really Cahill and Heyne that should perhaps feel aggreived?

For the record, the only team that has had more debut players than us this season is GC.

We arent getting him so who cares but not sure RL can coach rings around him. Devised a game plan that won a flag against a side that couldnt be beaten in 2008 and this year, considering their injuries, has devised a completely different game plan that has them sitting in the top 4. He is a magnificent coach.

Yeah, I'm a fan. His passion and aggression really rallies the troops too - both the players and the fans.

Yeah they have been significant since 2008.......

Buddy, roughy, mitchell, burgoyne, hodge......5 of the afl's absolute elite....and unlike us, a support cast of skilled players

Good coach......or good recruiting......The best things clarko did was play kids from 05-07.....and devise the midfield zone.

Relevent to list, they have underperformed since 08...... And injuries

Since lyon has been coach

Goddard....season 2008
Lenny......season 2007
Riewoldt......15 weeks 2010
Lenny.........season 2011
Gram........10 weeks 2010
Gardiner.......season 2007
Gardiner........13 weeks 2008
Gardiner.........14 weeks 2011
Dempster.......season

Sometimes you type things that dont mean a lot. This is the case. We had injuries and so have they. They have had plenty this year and apart from Lenny, obviously huge and MG, not so huge, we have had bugger all this year. They certainly may and probably do have better players than us but the point is he has won a flag, when not expected, against one of the best sides in years. He also has the side in the top 4 this year and they had many injuries and probably the same suspensions as us

We are having a down year......they have had two...

Take out 2008 and 2011 is goin ok, but only midway......he has a poor record as coach, having made the finals 1 out of 6 years......

Although i agree he is a good coach, i believe ross lyon is better.......he gets more out of less cattle..... Geelong were ripe for the picking in 08....Then they Were hungry for redemption in 09...geelong should have won 08, but like us in 09 kicked themseves out of it.....something lyon, nor clarkson can control.....confidence in front of goal is not tangible....

This year is important for clarkson, which is why he is unsigned....

The fact so Many players have improved under Ross over the last 4 years is why I know where in good hands going forward..

Pffft. Shouldn’t you be doing some arithmetic homework Pavlova. Maybe some extra work on basic addition?

Thanks Onasis; that's very kind of you and not the worst thing you have ever said to me.

Lets give RL a ten year contract then. You're such a savvy business man Onasis. Very sharp.

Clarkson has a premiership trophy on his shelf and devised gameplans that Lyon has copied, and now has a team threatning for the flag again, even with injuries. A club's success these days is all about premierships, everything else is coodabeens. Our core group of experienced players have failed us this year (Lenny excepted), and RL is coaching in catch-up mode. This season is Lyon's big learning curve as a coach, and hopefully he will get better results next season.

That's quite a good way of putting it I reckon.

Thanks. I'm successful because I can perform basic counting but I can understand why you would have difficulty with Arabic numerals.
