"This man (Walls) is a premiership player, he's a premiership coach, he's an AFL Hall of Famer, and to have a lightweight like Zac Dawson come out ... come on, this bloke deserves a little bit more respect."
What was the name of the bloke who Wallsy had beaten up at training when he was with the Bears?
I bet he shares Zac's opinion.

"It was revealed in the video "Passion To Play" that in Walls first year as Bears coach in 1991, as disciplinary action Walls authorised his players to don boxing gloves and beat 21 year old teammate Shane Strempel repetitively in the head[1] until he was severely bashed and bloodied after which Strempel quit playing football."

Zac is welcome to bite back at criticism, but he also has to be man enough to admit his own failure to improve as a footballer.
I don't like a lot of what Walls says, but on Zac, he was spot on.
I'm sorry, but Dawson has to man up and prove him wrong - not on Twitter, but where it counts. On the field.
He's been coasting for too long - not bulking up to play his role correctly, spoiling poorly, using abject skills - and his pre-season antics didn't seem to match the professionalism I was hoping he'd display. Time for a fricking hit of reality. Seriously. I know it can't be easy be a player under constant pressure but if you can't handle it, the VFL might be where you belong.
Come on Zac, you have to better than that. Make Walls eat his words.

Why does he have to prove a guy like Robert Walls wrong?evertonfc wrote: I'm sorry, but Dawson has to man up and prove him wrong - not on Twitter, but where it counts. On the field.
Walls deserves nothing more than a Twitter smack.
The only people Zac needs to prove anything to, is his coach and his teammates.

When I saw you'd replied, I was waiting to see you'd pulled out both barrels. I'm almost disappointedstinger wrote:evertonfc wrote:Zac is welcome to bite back at criticism, but he also has to be man enough to admit his own failure to improve as a footballer.

not a bad post....
Seriously, I don't care much for Walls and, the way he's playing, not much for Zac either.
Zac just needs to hit the gym like a mad man and bulk up. That'll get him some confidence, and he'll start playing better footy. Learn from some good players around him. Stop thinking like he's 'made it' - he hasn't.
The good thing to come out of this is that while publicly, Ross will hose it down as a nothing issue, privately, I think he'll tell Zac this isn't acceptable - and maybe a few other home truths.
How Zac chooses to respond could make or break him as a footballer.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

This post is proof sleeping pills and booze should never be mixed.starsign wrote:Zac has a bloody lot to learn both on the field and off
I'm not impressed in either
Pull your head in Zac you twit and get on with the buisness you appear to be overpaid for at present, so you could then at least be considered worthy of carrying the pains bag of gear for starters!!
Makes you wholly incomprehensible.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

it would to a person with your room temperature IQ, or are you perhaps hinting at the NZ episode and not my hurriedly and somewhat poorly expressed post???Thinline wrote:This post is proof sleeping pills and booze should never be mixed.starsign wrote:Zac has a bloody lot to learn both on the field and off

You know. Zac etc. Sleeping pills. Your spelling, punctuation and formatting issues...
Oh, FFS forget it...
Just continue taking yourself too seriously. It's easier.

Yes Starsign. It was the NZ episode plus your rushed post.
A joke. Nothing more.

ZAC YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE CLOWN!!!
Bitter because Walls referred to him as an ordinary player who needed to pull his head in after the NZ incident? That was fair commentary.
Try watching the footy and not your opponent, as you do constantly, and you may improve. Otherwise I'm waiting for Tommy Walsh to take your spot (as Max should have for the 2009 finals.
LET YOUR ACTIONS DO THE TALKING.

Zac should make his statements (by actions) - that's the best way to deal with adverse comments - by proving them wrong, by playing at a level where he only receives positive comments and praise.
for instance - Zac should concentrate on making one effective spoil or offer some sort of resistance for once against Cloke - who just marks at will against him, as if he's not even there.
Walsh would do better against Cloke (he can't do worse) and should be given a go next time we play the Pies.
