seemed happy to acknowledge people around who asked after his health.

Aw are rumour mongers.

I saw him after the game on Saturday night he was almost in a canter, no limp at all. When was he supposed to have done it?

hope the big monster is ok.

Don't bet on that report clearing too much up....

Whenever someone goes down, Dave says: "yeah, he pulled up really well and will be assessed during the week".

Just dont trust anything the club releases about injuries.. We will only know the truth when Gardi either runs out at Sandy or doesnt in next few weeks...

very true, he seems to describe just about every injury as "yeah 2 to 3 weeks" which i have decided now to mean anything from indefintitely out to a surprise entry in this weeks team! :)

Has he been flagged for the same comeback match as Hamill?

We are not in contention so Gardi should do the right thing and retire.

What advantage would this have over retiring at the end of the season? If McEvoy gets injured, Gardiner is the only other legit ruckmen on the list at present…

The advantage would be that we could give more games to youngsters. If McEvoy got injured I would rather see Stanley or Walsh or another youngster come in and ruck rather than Gardi. Gardi won't be at the club next year so there is no point playing him again. If we were in the top 4 then that would be a different story. Unfortunately, we are in the bottom 4 (nearly).

You haven't seen Stanley rucking have you?
Let me guess you've heard that he is very tall and also won the grand final sprint?
Gardiner doesn't need to retire in order to get games into players who aren't performing at VFL level, we're doing that already.

Stanley won't improve playing for Sandi. He is the type of character that needs to be thrown into the deep end (seniors) so the penny can drop.

Please tell us more about his character, I don't know him personally at all?
His 2 senior games this year in the 'deep end' he was drowning…

Fair call, but if we want the Saints to re-build they have to play the youngsters. He may have struggled for 2 games but who knows what would have happened if he had the entire season to gain experience and confidence.

Well h-S are not going with the rumour
With St Kilda having the bye, Michael Gardiner may play his first game of the season in the VFL after overcoming a knee injury.

and I'll look for little smiles :D
Nick Riewoldt could rejuvenate his playing career with a run on the wing, says Richmond great Nick Richardson.
