Well.......I think it would have been a hell of a lot worse without the "show-ponies" whose humility and apologies you beg for.spert wrote: Being one who spent years standing in the outer at Moorabbin supporting this club, and who sat in the stands at our grand finals, I have every right to point the finger. We have walked away with nothing when it was up for grabs, and prelims and draws mean nothing.

I reckon Plugger would struggle. True our forward line isn't the best, however, how can you really tell, when the movement into the forward 50 is appalling and the ball movement between the arcs is too slow?jonesy wrote:True...BigMart wrote:Plugger would struggle with our set up and disposal...
But he'd still kick 8

It would help if our forwards actually stayed in the forward line, how many times is the ball on our half back line and no one is forward of the centre, except the opposition defenders.
When we get the ball, there is no one to kick it too, so we have to go sideways in order for our forwards to get into position and by the time they do, they've bought the opposition with them.
I've seen better forward structures in under 13 teams.
It's time for a new game plan, a new style and new ideas.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Wasn't a bad shot. Not many others have managed to get us to back to back GFs and 2 almost pinch 2 out of 3!AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:Does Ross have any of those things? No, not his best shot but only time will tell whether this is true or not. The last half of this season should be interesting if nothing else.

Why should Riewoldt be a protected species? These excuses are becoming a broken record. Battling multiple opponents, crap delivery, defensively-minded game plan, etc. Just accept the fact that he's in s**t form and doing anything but 'leading by example'.Wollongong_saint wrote:Obviously didn't watch Riewoldt's effort in the preliminary final last year? Or the year before? Or Goddard in GF1 2010? We could go on.......so many fickle losers on this site who can't accept a dip in form. I hope you stay away when these players rise again.spert wrote:Too many excuses for too many highly paid show-ponies who fail when the going gets tough.
