yep we lost it because of the umps.gringo wrote:Seriously the Cats get frees for technical interpretations in their forward 50 and we can't get obvious in the back decisions played. Umpiring is a disgrace in the modern game, it ruins the spectacle and it is because they are poorly instructed by Gieshen.

History and reality sais I won't. Riewoldt cost us the game tonight. He wasn't the only one but a captain is supposed to be the leader huh.Wollongong_saint wrote:You may just look stupid in 12 months you fickle fool.Cairnsman wrote:Most disapointing career fadeout in the history of the game. Too many excuses for too many highly paid show-ponies who fail when the going gets tough. It's pretty clear we have only one true leader with the balls to drag a team along by example and he's out for the year. I'm pleased that lesser lights like Peake, Jones and Steven tried their guts out at least.

This is spot on. Roo is in no way being helped by pathetic delivery and slow ball movement,, as well as no half decent foward to take some attention from himBigMart wrote:No one would want to play in our fwd line....for two reason
Ball movement, and pathetic delivery...
Plugger would struggle with our set up and disposal...
I love this club

Obviously didn't watch Riewoldt's effort in the preliminary final last year? Or the year before? Or Goddard in GF1 2010? We could go on.......so many fickle losers on this site who can't accept a dip in form. I hope you stay away when these players rise again.spert wrote:Too many excuses for too many highly paid show-ponies who fail when the going gets tough.

Being one who spent years standing in the outer at Moorabbin supporting this club, and who sat in the stands at our grand finals, I have every right to point the finger. We have walked away with nothing when it was up for grabs, and prelims and draws mean nothing.Wollongong_saint wrote:Obviously didn't watch Riewoldt's effort in the preliminary final last year? Yes well i have been baging on about playing some of the young guys. But all that will happen is the gardy will come in for Big mac experienced player for a young guy thats selection criteria.spert wrote:Too many excuses for too many highly paid show-ponies who fail when the going gets tough. Or mini for steven iam so disapointed with they way we are picking the team if geelong can play vardy in the team who is young. Why carnt we play Archer,Walsh, johnson all are big bodyed and can mark run couldnt do any worse.
The difference is that Geelong leaves the young guys in for more then 2 weeks before they drop them and look what happens they play well maybe we should try that. But it wont happen not this season and by next season it will be to late for that season.

Good point, but don't forget that at Geelong, the older more experienced players are consistantly the ones who lift when required and lift the young players in the process.saint58 wrote:Yes well i have been baging on about playing some of the young guys.
