The crowd last night....

Post: # 1088483Post saint tash »

A smidge over 31,000.

As supporters are we happy with the turnout last night, remembering of course that it takes two teams to tango.

Given it was our home game and had a lot to play for do we feel we are getting adequate support at the moment or????

Is that what most thought we could muster up.

Thoughts......

Friday night on a long weekend will always cost you a few (witness the choked roads that caused many to be late to the game)

Doubt there would have been too many neutrals there.they'll be at Hawks v Cats tonight or the Queens Birthday game

Was a hard game to get into..so many mistakes from both sides. Must have been rivetting telly for the Ch 7 audience..not lol

I thought the crowd attendance of 31000+ was poor.

Other than behind the Coventry end (WB cheersquad) level 1 seemed reasonably full.
Level 2 looked almost empty in many bays.

Terrible crowd.

The dogs had Max. 5,000 fans IMO.

We would've got 31,000 Vs. The Eagles had we played them last night!

Smorgy has a bit of work to do!!

The crowd figure was just about what I expected. I thought we'd be fortunate to make 30k, given the poor performances thus far from both clubs in 2011. On the positive side, it DID mean I was able to get a pre-game beer at the Whitten room without waiting    (NO! Eastern didn't shout!   )

Thought it was poor. Our home game means our supporters need to turn up.

Maybe this year?

I would have thought mid to high 30's would be par.

Long Weekend, both sides down on form and other factors would have dragged the crowd numbers down. On the positive side; 30,000+ means that we make a profit, albiet a small profit !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

On the strength of a hammering for both the Dogs and ourselves the previous round 30k was reasonable.

The game would have been pre-sold and gone live on Channel 7

On the dockland wing there was definitely more Bulldogs fans than ours

In terms of spectacle, wasn't worth 31,000.

Game with 2 teams who've dipped massively after being up for a long time, not surprising very few went.

Under the new stadium deals, every club is guaranteed $100k no matter how many turn up @ Etihad and MGC. But you make additional money if you get above the $100k threshold.

Amazing.

If I'd said it that bozo would have attacked me again!

there always seem to be more opposition fans on that side. i've only watched one game sitting on that win. was surrounded by north melbourne fans.
