How do we all think Peake's going?
We've had threads about Jack and Ben and Armo and Gilbert and Simpkin and Ledger and, of course, Raph. We've even had one about a bloke who didn't play.
But how do people think Peake went?
For mine I reckon he's doing okay, even if he's not in the top bracket. Since coming back he seems to have a new urgency about his play and I just reckon he adds a bit of life to the team.
Given his age and previous football history at Freo it could of course all turn to crap, however at the moment I'm more than happy seeing him run out for us.

Like Gram last night he seemed like he was under instruction to play on at every opportunity and move the ball quickly and like Gram he seemed to move too quickly for the teams liking. Peake should keep it up though as should Gram and hopefully we eventually get that nice balance between attack and defence.

I reckon he is doing very well - last night not quite as good as the previous 2 - but I like what he brings to the team, run & carry.
Smart footballer
Last 3 weeks, 23, 21 & 17 poss - seems like he's finding the footy to me - and to the coaches

Move it quickly to whom? Not so much last night, but often we have nearly everyone behind the ball. No benefit to moving it quickly if there's no one to go to.Cairnsman wrote:Like Gram last night he seemed like he was under instruction to play on at every opportunity and move the ball quickly and like Gram he seemed to move too quickly

Why worry about stats? I believe more in what you and I see. He's been good since his sojourn at Sandy.SainterK wrote:I was surprised to see he only had 3 contested possessions, I was sure he was involved at more stoppages etc. Perhaps nothing that gave him a stat?
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

I just overthink it when I see the stats, to my natural eye he seemed hungry for the ball, over 4 quarters too.

I thought he was up to his neck in it, and his execution was the best I've seen from him.
Was commenting to friends how well he's going. No complaints.

I think he's a liability but hey if Leon Davis can reinvent himself then maybe there is hope for the 15 or so list cloggers we've got on the list.Spinner wrote:Seems I'm alone in regards to Peake. Pity we have seen what he has done in grand finals.
Soft at the contest, runs but turns it over, fumbles, poor decision maker. Don't know why we persist.
