Gamble - that is a disgrace. He was utterly hopeless for Sandy on the weekend in the same way he was utterly hopless for us early in the season. I
184cm tall
About 75 kg
no speed
no strength
no attack on the football or his opponent
Seriously, this is the most appalling selection of the year. I rank him in the bottom 3 players on the list.

Interesting selections. Although I am not an overly big fan of any of the 3 to come in - I can understand why they havedone it.
Obviously Joey is a big loss. We missed his run and creativity last week and it will be missing this week as well unfortunately.
Gamble for Siposs - They are both playing for the same position really so it makes sense - if you're going to replace Siposs - that you choose Gamble. Every now and then you get a good game from him so maybe we'll get one this week. Loved Siposs' games and am really excited about this guy but I think its a good move to give him a rest. He's had some tough games for such a young body.
Not sure about Clarke. I used to be a big fan but have lost faith to be honest. To me, this must be close to his last chance - has a reasonable record against the Dogs and apparently has done very well at VFL level - so I'm happy to give him another go.
Gram in. Has he lifted his game? One of our best 22 when he's 'on' but looked very 'off' prior to being dropped. Maybe the legal rubbish hes got happening has had an effect. Some time with Sandy could be the tonic. It would be great to have an in form Jason Gram back in the team. His run is vital especially with Joey out.
Polo - I havent minded him so far. Bit unlucky I thought, although last week wasnt one he will want to remember for too long.

Siposs is a rest, Gamble is like for like, doesn't mean anything other than that depth is exactly for these kind of circumstances.
Clarke should be rewarded given his form, he also allows Fisher to play elsewhere, perhaps forward?
Gram, well Polo didn't prove to be any better user of the ball, so who would you prefer?

As conservative the selections are (and I'm definitely a little bemused by them), Simpkin and Ledger have been retained - that's two second-gamers, along with Steven (not yet 20 games), Gamble (27), Armitage (38) and McEvoy (40).
Also, Gamble hasn't shown much but he's only five months older than Walsh (who a lot were at least half-expecting to play).

So two inside mids and a forward who can kick have been replaced by two outside flankers and a forward who can't kick. While we still have no backup ruckman or FF...strange, strange selections. Honestly I expect us to get slaughtered out of the middle and then have no one to kick it to if we do win a rare clearance. We may still scrape a win on the merit of Fisher, Dal and Milney but I'm not sure of the coaches expectations from this game.
Put it this way, he has no 'out' clause.
I'm not disappointed in the selction of Clarke, because we need selection integrity and he has earned it.
But Gamble and particularly Gram have done nothing special at VFL level. Why not Al Smith who was in the best last week?
