Car Parking - Etihad
G'Day All,
Heading over to Melb for the game Friday night and just need a little help with car parking at or around Etihad. We usually just use public transport, however the sitter I had lined up for my 7 month old son as falled through so I"ll have to bring the little tacker along for his first game...
Have seen online that Etihad has parking for $25 - is it necessary or advisable to book in advance?
Alternatively, any other car parking options close enough that might do the trick?
As I said, we usually just use trains/trams but will need the car given we've got the little one in tow.
Appreciate any thoughts/advice.
Cheers

there is a street near Etihad called 'Jeffcott street'
when i work at Etihad i usually park there, i have no idea of the timing or payment, i tend to ignore those signs...and am yet to get a ticket. so if you are a risk taker like me go for it.
also, if you are driving South-West down Jeffcott st you will see the enterance to a car park. its only a small outdoors carpark that fits 20 or so cars, but thats never full. the only catch is you need to buy a ticket to put on the dashboard, which is $10 or $12, and the machine only accepts coins. You WILL get a fine if you ignore the signs in this carpark.

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

You can park at the Docklands - New Quay (which is about a 10 minute walk to the ground).
There is a very large carpark located at "HarbourTown" at the Docklands, which you enter from a street called "Docklands Drive" (a continuation of Wurundjeri Way).
It costs $10 to park there for the game. It is an open air carpark, but it's cheap, easy to walk to the ground and incredibly easy to exit after the game.
If you park at Etihad stadium itself, walk into the city after the match, find a hotel room, order room service, take a sleep for about 8 hours and then head back to the ground and the traffic will have cleared enough for you to move your car ...

Australia...... Live it like we stole it....... Because we did.
I park at Etihad every home game, yes you get bent over, but you pay extra for convenience. If it's raining you don't get wet, turnstiles and lift in carpark straight up to ground. All you have to remember is what aisle you come out at and what level you parked at either B1, B2, B3.
Because it's a normal work day the general public park there during the day so the carpark could look to be full, but you will find single carparks everywhere.
