I did too.

I actually saw for the first time for me anyway that Lynch COULD get comfortable at this level. He made some good contests - just slightly fumbled at times but his disposal seemed ok and as he gets experience I can see him settling in nicely.

What a bummer he's straight out...

Hmm, IMO if a fracture/dislocation then probably looking at 6 weeks out. Dislocation only then a chance for next week, but still would expect him to sit out a week.

If it is just a normal fracture with no operation needed then he surely would tape it up and play. If it is a dislocation he will play for sure next week. If it wasnt late in the game he would have come back on with a basic dislocation. Happens probably once a game and they never seem to miss the following week.

Youngster Tom Lynch suffered a compound dislocation of his little finger against the Dockers, but Hutchison said he expected both to come into calculations this week.

''He'll have some stitches and we'd expect to be OK. We'll have to monitor him,'' he said of Lynch.

Maybe not..but his neck is resticted at present. Don't know if it just sore, or swelling or....

...but saw him interviewed at two points in time. Both times to face the reporter he turned his whole boddy to face the reporter rather than just twist your neck like you would normally do when talking to a pack of reporters.

Looks compound to me, you can see the bone on the inside of his finger, but it is just a dislocation, not a break. Should be okay.

Injury report is just up on Saints TV. Looks like everyone is likely to play bar Blake who has grade 2 medial strain and is 2 to 6 weeks away. Misson even stated they are hopeful Cripps will play again this year.

Dean Greig got compartnent syndrome after breaking his leg in a VFL game and actually had to have his lower leg amputated as a result.

Goose Maguire is the other one that had it more recently, a couple of times in fact after he suffered that shocking broken leg. Hopefully with expert medical attention, Cripper won't sugger the same fate as Greigy.

Greigy was also the victim of some dodgy medical care, or lack thereof, and successfully took legal action against those responsible.

Hopefully Cripps will receive the best possible attention, care and treatment.
