Great news for BJ & Dempster
They're on the plane about to come back home already!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both apparently cleared of anything serious, but the club have "no idea" if either will be available for next week, according to Jon Ralph, on ch.10.
Early days, for BJ especially, but that news was about the best we would have hoped for today.

That's unbelievable !!!
And I have to say really surprising that the medicos wouldn't insist on a night in hospital for observation before risking a flight.
But obviously they know what they are doing?
Any word on The Dumpster?
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

I DO want to see them carried off like that - ultra cautious.Bernard Shakey wrote:Good to hear. Two very valuable players and don't want to see anyone carried off like that.
Bj's thumbs up gave us a hint.
Also I guess with litigation and workcover they have to sometimes go the full hog with ambos and hospital visits.

Great news.
Two sore boys tonight I would think, but great to hear that both have escaped serious injury.
And now that I know you are ok, BJ and Dempster: DON'T YOU EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!

Shattered dreams are just opportunities for improvement. Live and learn, fail and try harder. 2011 beckons.
Not surprising at all seeing that he wasn't concussed and there was no skeletal damage to his neck.Enrico_Misso wrote:And I have to say really surprising that the medicos wouldn't insist on a night in hospital for observation before risking a flight.

I don't get why people question the best of the best sports medicos in this country when they have no medical knowledge themselves!!!

Remember Perth is a couple of hours behind!! BJ has been under observation since around 1:50 their time, and Demps around 3:30 or so. Plenty of time for x-rays and other such tests to be conducted in a thorough manner.Enrico_Misso wrote:

Glad to hear there's no serious issues. Hopefully both boys will be right for training and are fit to play against the filth!

Absolutely thrilled!! I can't tell you all how worried I was about them. Dempster seemed the worse off from what I saw. I also think the medical team were brilliant in the precautionary approach and took no chances. Very good news.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
