I'm starting to like him, might be our Paul Chapman. I think he was likened to him draft day.
I thought Heyne was compared with Steve Johnson??
Pretty sure that is correct, ie Heyne not Steven.
Not sure if you're saying it was Heyne or Jack that was compared to Chapman, but it was definitely Jack, FWIW: "John Peake said that Jack is tough, and hardened-up with good endurance, not bad speed, who likens a bit to Paul Chapman.
Matt Burgan said that the Saints had to take him at pick 42 because Collingwood (pick 47) were eager."

Great news re Sandy today, though and great to hear that Heyne is going well. We could do with someone with his knack of kicking goals and taking strong marks.

Walsh impressive. Such a team player. Big shoe on him, a few times I wish he'd unload instead of giving the handball. Always gives to teammates.

Finals scores 155 to 112.

Tom Simpkin Heyne among best.

I like number 3 is that Boland. Magner a great player too.

Sounds like an amazing game.
We were getting pumped at one stage. Then we just must have played some great footy. Werribee no slouches. Well played.

heard good things about Magner all year is he worth a go at? That is assuming he is on sandy's list and not ours. I still reckon Tyson Thomas must be worth a look too. He is quick apparently.

That is terrific news. Someone on Bigfooty said he was "in everything" late in the game.

Been watching his captain. Not such a bad thing, but sometimes a long kick is better than a hospital to a teammate.

I did get down there, but wasn't able to concentrate as much as I usually would thanks to be daughter wanting to eat rocks and walk around everywhere!

Raph gave a lot of run and was very good, even if he did drop a couple of sitters. Walsh got more impressive as the game wore on, giving heaps of drive through the middle. He's a booming kick, and seems to have overcome any initial difficulties kicking the oval ball!

I thought Eddy was really solid. He looks good at that level. Gram did a reasonable amount but didn't star. I saw Stanley running around, but I don't remember him getting a kick! I'm sure the stats will prove me wrong. Archer put himself about but didn't have a great impact either.

Raph Clarke set up a 10-goal third quarter for St Kilda's VFL affiliate Sandringham yesterday as the Zebras stunned a fragile Werribee by 43 points at Chirnside Park.

Clarke controlled the game off half-back and kicked one of the goals of the year, taking three bounces before launching a 55m bomb

There's a few people writing off Raph, but there were also a few writing off Jones and Peake a few weeks back.

If he keeps playing really well at Sandy we'd be mad not to give him another shot when the opportunity arises.

Of course we should. If anyone is injured this week or RL thinks a young guy needs a rest then play the guys that are in form and deserve a game. If Raph is one of those then play him.
