Kosi for mine really is being stitched up by the coaching department
He had little preseason, 1 game in he 2s and has been brought back into the side with supporters expectation being that we will get the 09 version.
Very tough position for the big fella to be in.
I don't know why you wouldn't have Big Will, McEvoy and Stanley rotate through the forward line until K gets his fitness up.
Obviously internally the expectation on him is different... but I don't see why we need to do this the hard way

My mum told me to be careful and not get hurt.
I always do what my mum says.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Nice way to support.Bernard Shakey wrote:What will be the preferred excuse for Kosi's nonperformance this week?
Sore ankle?
Concussion?
Too tired after the flight?
Too slow?
Couldn't care less?
Forgot my boots?
I was looking for their big bloke all day. Where was he?
There's criticism and then there is childishness.
I am a big Kosi fan, and hate to see him quite obviously struggling as he is...
I would have prefered to see him given 4-5 weeks in the 2's, get his hands on the ball more than he has since '09 consistently, then brought in...
Clearly Ross sees Kosi's role in the teams structure as more important than him finding form...
The reality is that he's struggling, and there arn't any excuses for that... He is picked, and isn't performing... Fact...
However, I dont think he has been given the best opportunity to possibly find form and deliver in the 1's.... Not his fault he is picked, under-done...
As for the OP, flog of a post by a flog of a poster.... Thats another Fact...
Kosi had a decent to good game against Carlton, BS goes missing on the Kosi threads... Watch this amazing disappearing act happen again should Kosi get his hands on it abit tomorow arvo...

I don't want to kick a man when he is down...
But how can some of these excuses explain all of his on field actions?
He is a lumbering push over. He can't compete even when he has front spot and 10cm on his bloody opponent. There are no excuses for that... ABSOLUTELY NONE!
That said, hope he tears it up because his days are numbered, we won't challenge this year, and he seems like a good egg (personality wise).
Have read saintsational too much??What will be the preferred excuse for Kosi's nonperformance this week?

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Perhaps Kosi will read this thread and decide to come out firing and kick a bag of sausage rolls?
I can see it now. Kosi kicks a half dozen in a match winning performance and is greeted by the media after the game. The first words he utters are "thank you to my number 1 fan, Bernard Shakey, for helping to motivate me in finding some form"

i'd be putting kosi out to pasture for the rest of this year
chill the eff out kosi , go fishing , toss hay bales , chase girls or trap rabbits
but do all that with a weighty haversack on your back and lead in your boots.
come back fresh and superfit for '12 , with a fresh mind and
ready for 2 years AT THE TARGET.
give NICK a bit of rest during the season as well. while they're at it.

He played with an ankle injury all last year, to keep our structures, while Roo was out... and as a result we make our 2nd GF in 2 years.
No preseason this year, and after his 3rd game he's asked to play a full game in the ruck, and then rest on the forward line, due to the sub rule.
This bloke has sacrificed his body and his game for the team from the moment he walked in the door of the club.
He is respected by the people who count.....
His team mates.

What a load of s***. Lyon came in and dropped our old guard and when he had a successful injury free team he played them with minimal changes. Unbelievable how dumb people can be. Should when we hadn't lost a game for 20 rounds made wholesale changes for the sake of it, that's right he did and we lost? He is obviously not much of a coach, he wasn't developing players while we where challenging for a flag. Kosi is used in the forward line as a stay at home forward, he straightens them up, since he came back roo has played further from goal often leaving Kosi double teamed. We all think Roo is better than Kosi but he couldn't do anything when he played that role. His best year under Lyon he would play the foil forward one week the target the next, the ruse didn't last as it was too obvious.

He was one of our best against Carlton. Ordinary against the Hawks, along with about 19 others. Got kneed in his already fragile skull twice against Melbourne. Tough position, the ruck. Some of his critics should try it sometime, especially as he's not a natural at it. Courageous and described in the inner sanctum as a "warrior". My only query is why he does not wear a helmet to protect his bonce. wearing one might give him a bit of extra confidence and protection.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
