Arryn
Just thought we could kick it all off again, seeing as the last one was mysteriously locked?
Was thinking we could rename the 'Fletcher' end the 'Siposs' end seeing as he is going to be better than Hirdy…

It was locked because it had reached the end of it's tether. Clearly there is some pre-exisitng issue between Attila and BigMart. If you want to do some actual discussion about the player, go right ahead.

I don't think I've anything more to say. I certainly don't want to be called a condescending patriarch by old thinskin or thinline or whatever his name is (although I'm sure he'd be a lovely young fellow if I got to know him, eh what!)

I was going to post this on the other thread but then I blinked and it got shut down.
The people who were upset about the BM comments should now lay off Attila.Â
Isn't there some saying about "two wrongs"?
From my observations the two gentlemen have sorted it out and moved on. Time everyone else did IMO.

Lockett and Coverntry were the names last I checked.

that 45 metrepass to roo on the boundry....subline..after gifting our captain his first three goals...bet roo will have a big say in keeping this kid in the side......Middo wrote:Bugger ... thought this was another post from someone saying they were his coach and claiming to have found him in high school with problems and helped him to where he is today or maybe someone saying I'm his Dad and I'm gunna do ya !! .... Re: Arryn
as excited, positive, bullish and happy i am about sippo - it says a lot about the saints youth development in the last 5 years that SS and saints fans in genral have completely gone gaga over this guy.dragit wrote:Just thought we could kick it all off again, seeing as the last one was mysteriously locked?

Barring injury I would like to see him given plenty of games so he can experience being an AFL player. I think he has shown that he can be a good contributer to the team so hopefully his spot is safe.jonesy wrote:A serious question about him.... Just an important decision,he's on the bubble in SC/DT, looking at bringing him in
I think he will be good in SC if he continues being efficient because he probably won't get enough touches to be a good DT pick up.

Have him more of a cash cow player, doubt I'll ever have him starting. I dunno, there are a lot of rookies in the coming weeks, need to manage this properly to build the war chest... interesting 18 hours ahead at the selection tablesaintDal wrote:Barring injury I would like to see him given plenty of games so he can experience being an AFL player. Guess I should be posting this in the supercoach section...

His spot in the senior side this year will depend on his fitness base. It happens at every club, every year - the first year players who only get a partial pre-season tire quickly, so regular rests are pretty common.
With 5 weeks until the bye, I reckon he might miss one of those, to make sure he stays fresh and hopefully avoids injury. Don't know whether being a sub /subbed off counts as a rest these days.
I'd expect the same for Cripps, and possibly Winmar, who is essentially a first year player, if he shows some form.

I don't know what it is , but there were times last week when he reminded me of a 'mirror-image version' of George Young.borderbarry wrote:Young Sip is very promising but I see him as a great half forward flanker, not a full forward. We should be grooming a stronger type for full forward, such as Archer or Walsh.
Sip will be the one to feed the full forward with great passes.
