Votes - Round 8 St Kilda v Hawthorn

Post: # 1074862Post Sainter_Dad »

Whole game please - not just the first quarter!
Remember - voting closes Tuesday midnight!
Please try and restrict yourself to 5,4,3,2,1 not 4,4,3,2,2 or 4,3,3,2,2,1 or other such abonimations - it throws my count out.

Thanks
SD

Damn your rules today...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

No room for Siposs - Not a bad 2nd game.

A kid in his first game for the Hawks had equal or more possies than - Gram, Milne, Jones, Polo, Armitage, Kosi, Ray, Steven, Dawson, Siposs, Ray, McEvoy, McQ, Cripps.

5 - Fisher
4 - Gwilt

Raffle the rest

You can give him a vote when you do yours..........

And folks don't always want to give 5 4 3 2 1 - for certain matches - does it really matter ?

5 - Fisher - great game., under enormous pressure.
4 - Dempster - he cops a lot on this site and did make a few silly mistakes, but over the 4 quarters, a good effort.
3 - Gwilt - another solid performance. Doesn't panic.
2 - 3 goals and a couple of misses had him in the game. High balls coming in doesn't help things.
1 - Siposs - a couple of great goals. Moves well. Learning the game.

5 - Fisher - Super day, was probably our only player to win his position
4 - Gwilt - Solid again, tough when the opposition has 60 inside 50's
3 - Baker - for snotting that stain to humanity known as Michael Osborne
2 - Siposs - Good decisions with the ball, and good skills
1 - Dal Santo - Not his usual high standards, but 20 touches at 95% is a reasonable day.

And the all important minus votes......

-5 - Gram - Terrible, just terrible. Should be wearing a black and gold jumper next week for todays effort.
-4 - McEvoy - got slapped in the ruck by a key forward
-3 - Milne - couldn't get close to the game today, had a shocker.
-2 - Gilbert - Stills butchers the ball as good as anyone in the league
-1 - Steven - too quiet, needs to get to more contests and win some of his own ball

Sippos - showed some glimpses
Dal - not horrid
Cripps - tried a bit more than most

Fisher
Sippos
Cripps
NDS - for making it to 200 games
The rest of them can take a long walk off St.Kilda Pier and practise some team work in trying to save themselves.

Probably more a reflection on just how hard it is to find five "goods"
