He is definitely a glass half empty kind of guy
In essence "ensuring our opponents score less then us" is no different from his predecessors philosophy of "we will score more then you" but it kinda is.
We will be lucky to even hit triple figures against the GC when we play them
Bring on GWS

If the GC come to play I reckon we wont kick more than 85 points. I am confident of our ability of the current playing group to follow the coaches plan with endeavour or belief so if the GC apply speed and open spaces we could be in trouble.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

GC will tear us a new arsehole.
They are keen and fast and they smash clearances.
We are not keen and our skills and ball movement is mostly horrid and we can't remember what winning clearances is about.
Seriously, you;d put your money on GC by five goals at the moment.
Yes. It's THAT bad.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

On another bright side the media and most opposition supporters may think we are gone, and may just forget about us. Hopefully that will mean we can play more freely, with no media spotlight at all, and salvage something
We were way down in 1999, but come 2003 we bounced back hard, and have been up ever since. If we go down it won't be for too long I am sure of it
Think about what you have just described.
In that time we inherited Kosi (rising star 2000) Nick (rising star 2001), Dal Santo, Luke Ball and a brutal Guerra in 2003-4.
We also had the older soldiers with mental toughness (Harvey, Powell, Peckett, Thompson etc) but still had our dud ruckmen like Gumby, Knobel, Ackland (maybe a little later).
We gradually performed but now we have quality seniors who are not switched on to the current game plan and dont seem to have the creative attacking flair of yesteryear.

Some of those players were not the most talented, but were given a chance. That is all we need to do this time, give them a chance, to gain experience, and hopefully blend into the team in time and do a top job for us.
I mean Brett Voss was not the most talented either, but we gave him a chance, and he did not let us down
Perhaps in a few weeks if we should find ourselves with no chance of playing finals more youngsters may get a chance to shine, and we may just find the next gen of St Kilda
If we can sucker GWS into taking a few of our pros for some of their high draft picks we may just find a diamond in the draft too, so could be quite similar to back then.

A true king doesn't glass his girlfriend.
A true king doesn't smear his blood on an opponent when he cannot break a tag.
A true king does not label umpires disgraceful.
A true king is Robert Harvey.

saw two teams play better than the saints yesterday with the nt thunder and mt gravatt. tungatulum in better form than any today.
Using Dwayne Russells comparison to 12 years ago and Tim Watson's comment in the same season, "Dimboola 3rds could have beaten the Saints today".
