The boys went a long way to restoring my Faith last night..... but for a few skill errors the game was ours..... (and you've got to remember that The Blues pantsed us around the same point last season)

...what returned was the intensity and hardness that was a cornerstone of this side for the past 2 seasons.......

...what I saw was a hunger re-ignited and a belief in the team...

..the boys were gutted by the loss... and determined to do better..... I almost pity the Hawks this weekend.....

I'll be tipping The Saints with confidence.

Very disappointing attitude you have. As a cheer sqaud memeber you should live in la la land and believe that we are the greatest team that has ever walked the planet.

Don't know about that last statement. We had plenty of good performers last night but the bottom rung was really shown up. Baker, McQualter, Jones, Clarke and at times Blake were just horribly off the pace and outclassed. We also struggled to win a clearance all night despite Judd being relatively quiet by his standards. We didn't lose because a lack of effort, we lost because of a lack of pace, skill and smarts. We were lucky Carlton were so bad in front of goal which let us back in the game in the third. An unfortunately there isn't much left at Sandy to come in an replace these bottom players. Polo may offer improvement on Jones or McQualter, Simpkin or Walsh could take Blake's spot and Lynch could be developed at half back but none of those guys will make the difference.

Time to get games into the kids and make decisions on the fringe players.

To spell it out for you (and clearly others), the use of the word Jihad with Etihad stadium is seen as offensive by Muslims as it is a unfair and divisive 'throw away' line that only further stereotypes people or organisations that are identified as Muslim. Consider the Muslim kids that attend Saints games and hear you saying Jihad stadium. As a father how would you respond to your child when this is asked? And why not take it further and label the Pies as Jihad Collingwood? (Major sponsor Emirates), or walk into Crazy Johns and say 'Jihad Jihad' because the founder was Muslim?
