Winmar played for Sandringham today, so he is unlikely to be one of the emergencies.matrix wrote:clarke armo steven cripps on the pine
gamble winmar and peake as emergencies
Neither Smith nor Johnson did play for Sandringham so either of them could be one of the emergencies alongside Peake and Gamble.
Johnson was omitted on Thursday purportedly as injured.
It's good, I like.Moorabbin Saints wrote:Final Team named.
In: Siposs, Clarke, Kosi
Out: Dawson, Johnson, Smith
Shame Johnson is injured, but he will get another shot soon I'm sure.
I'd love to see Kosi in the ruck some more, everyone will tell me why it won't work, but I just think it improves his game and ours.

yeah, his first couple of quarters of afl held about 15 possessions, in the next two and a half games he only had about 20.saintspremiers wrote:Wonderful.
Smith starts all guns blazing and drops off enough to get dropped.
agreed. all kids slow down sooner or later, so that in itself isn't a problem, but it'd be great it someone could just play a few good games on the trot.saintspremiers wrote:Standard fare for our new players.
Please, just one half decent newbie that can string together half a dozen games would be nice!
still, given the team performances they're participating in at the moment, it's not exactly easy. how good would crameri look in our side? better or worse than gamble did?

Koschitzke should be played in the twos, and has done nothing to be considered as an automatic selection. I would have thought with Kosi, it would be better to give him an extended run with Sandy and that way get him some match fitness and confidence. At the moment the guy is not mentally/physically right to play AFL.
St Kilda forever ( God help me)
I think it's a case of us needing another ruckman - Macca's struggling. Only the conditioning staff would know how fit he is and whether he's ready for a run.Koschitzke should be played in the twos, and has done nothing to be considered as an automatic selection. I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Who do you want playing instead..?
the ones without obvious injuries are peake, gamble, smith, johnson and crocker. presumably johnson is injured and crocker is no chance (seeing he's been playing sandy reserves). smith not named as emergency.Quixote wrote:Can anyone recall who else didn't play yesterday for Sandy? Just Smith was it? Would much prefer him to replace Joey than either of Peake or Gamble.
i reckon montagna will play, doesn't sound like he's much worse off than he has been all season. gamble for kosi, i guess. so how about a team something like:
D: Blake, Fisher, Clarke, Gwilt, Dempster, Baker
M: McEvoy, Dal Santo, Goddard, Montagna, Gram, Jones
F: Riewoldt, Gilbert, Siposs, Gamble, Milne, Schneider
IC: Armitage, Cripps, Steven, McQualter
weird lookin' forward line if we get roo, gilbo, sipo and gambo down there. it'll confuse carlton and probably our blokes as well.

But that side presupposes that Kosi won't play and Gamble will.bergholt wrote:the ones without obvious injuries are peake, gamble, smith, johnson and crocker. presumably johnson is injured and crocker is no chance (seeing he's been playing sandy reserves). smith not named as emergency.Quixote wrote:Can anyone recall who else didn't play yesterday for Sandy? Do you have any basis for this?

Gamble wouldn't be much of a replacement for Kosi. I would have thought that, if Kosi is out, Gilbert would be prevailed upon to go forward and Peake would come in.bergholt wrote:nope, going on speculation the same as the rest here.Mackaysaint wrote:But that side presupposes that Kosi won't play and Gamble will.
