Protesteth too much one thinks. It is without comprehension that Nixon would want a report that makes him look like a liar, a sexual predator, and possible supplier of illicit drugs to a 17 y.o. girl to come out.
But what is the other headline - Nick Riewoldts "confidential" interview, Sam Gilberts commnets, Nick Dal Santo's testimony.
Were these the only three players interviewed?
Satchmo is spot on with this. A huge COI, a "convienently" leaked "confidential" report and then Galbally pointing fingers at the only person who could be hurt by this Nixon.
It is ludricious how the MSM has swallowed this hook line and sinker.

I have been in the thick of many government leaks, and the people who leak stuff are usually those with the most to gain and the least to lose from the leak.Buckets wrote:So guys who was the one who leaked the info???? And why???
Not as if the team is going fantastically well at the present.
So look for the party in proceedings who would benefit the most from Nixon being alienated from the players he represents and effectively destroyed forever as a player manager. Not Nixon, obviously. Not Galbally, who was basically just a gun for hire. So.....

The other thing I've been told by an insider is that Nixon has absolutely no friends whatsoever in the AFL world. Not a single one. His support base was the players he represented, to whom he was an arsehole who got great results for them.
So that means that just about any AFL person who somehow got hold of a copy of the document is a suspect as leaker. But I really can't believe that Galbally would have done it. The document is potentially defamatory and I don't think he'd have wanted to put himself at risk.

From what I've heard, you could fill a small footy ground with the number of people who have an axe to grind with Tricky Ricky.Eastern wrote:Who are Nixon's lawyers? And what could they gain/lose from this going public?
Is there anyone within the executive of the AFLPA who may have an axe to grind with Rooey/StKilda? !!

Why the hell would a lawyer weho earns probably millions a year worry about leaking a story to upset the saints and risk a reputation. A team that isnt even in the running for a finals birth at the moment. People say it makes no sense for Nixon to do it but it makes even less sense for Galbally to do it. Matter of fact it makes no sense.joffaboy wrote:I find it all very interesting that this Galbally lawyer person would jump on every media he could find to point the finger at Nixon.

Or state of ego, and surplus thereof.sunsaint wrote:oh and satchmo, thinline & joffaboy, suggest you get yourself a copy of the recent chanel9 interview with Nixon
then read the comments here regarding that interview
then you might be able to get a better reading of Nixon's state of mind...or lack thereof

"The findings resulted in Nixon being stripped of his AFL agent's accreditation for at least two years.
Galbally suggested Nixon might have released the report to try to discredit the QC or the AFLPA.
"That may well be right and it may well be to try to cause some more disharmony at St Kilda and try to unnerve the players by reporting what they had said to me," he said.
AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou said he had not read the report and did not plan to.
"I've sort of chosen not to read it because I actually do take it very seriously, that what was in that report was confidential," Demetriou told 3AW.
"The people who were interviewed, as I understand it, were of the view that everything they spoke about was going to be confidential.
"I suspect some of them are feeling very aggrieved this morning.
"I will continue not to read it because I think it's inappropriate."
what a pile of steaming sh!t...why the f*** would nixon want to unnerve his clients ffs.....you are a piece of filth crap galbally ...i wouldn't trust an arsehole like you as far as i could spit....

Like all lawyers he may be a f*** wit but compared to RN he is a Saint. At least I know from this post you really are a cleaner. And you have a great way with words. Should be fun for those going to the lunch with you.stinger wrote:"The findings resulted in Nixon being stripped of his AFL agent's accreditation for at least two years.

I sincerely hope you two are going to wear signs or something...... I must be thick. Because i cant see how this hurts the Saints. It seems to help us. It completely places all the blame in the affair at Nixons feet and paints Saints players as victims of his idiocy and poor judgement.
As for the leak - could be anyone.
As for our brand - that bottomed out about 6 months ago.
And to sunsaint there is no way in a million universes Riewoldt would be interested or allowed to own a player management business while he is still playing. That would be a ridiculous COI.

It's not about who is to blame for any incident. It's about creating as much disharmony as possible within the club at a time when a new club is starting.Con Gorozidis wrote:I must be thick. Players think holy crap nothing ever goes right around here at the very time when someone is waving big dollars at anyone that's had a kick.
The more players that come from our club, the less that come from theirs.
If it had been nick maxwell's manager, do you think they would have appointed Ross Levin to investigate? Do you think fat ed would allow Levin to interview c***ingwood players?
*Allegedly.
