Then again they named Archer at full-forward in Round 3 and he didn't end up making the side so I'll only believe it when I see it

Sippos named on the ground, does this mean he will play, or is it just lip service??...
Peake and Gamble as inclusions would be a massive step back... They have no place in our future, which we are facing right now...
If we pick 4 from the exteneded bench, hopefully we go with Armo, Steven, Cripps and Winmar... I can dream...
Realistically, with Ross the changes will be:
Out - Zac, Johnson, Smith,
In - Kosi, Clarke, Peake (or Gamble)

That was my second thought (first being SaintSimmo's words); but that's the first time I'd seen that happen - here's to hoping!dcstkfc wrote:SaintSimmo wrote:SIPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Im excited!!

Is the ankle 100% ?
Is he fit enough to run out the game ?
Not a fan of Gamble, but it seems that it's Gamble or Kosi. Now that may
change the thinking.
Personally I'm a fan of neither. Who do you choose out of a witches hat and a sack of spuds?

Pretty certain just because he is named on field it doesnt mean he is going to play.. Its extended benches until Saturday....thequarry wrote:That was my second thought (first being SaintSimmo's words); but that's the first time I'd seen that happen - here's to hoping!dcstkfc wrote:SaintSimmo wrote:SIPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Oh and Farren Ray's "illness" must be pretty serious!!!
who knows - but judging from what we saw against brissie he isn't.Junction Oval wrote:Is he fit enough to run out the game ?
i'd love to see kosi play a couple of weeks in the twos and have a couple of really hard runs in the ruck/forward. that would give me some confidence he's building towards form.
most likely the changes will be fairly conservative, but i can't see peake getting a game on reported form, and i'm not sure how they'd be confident gamble has improved from rounds 1-3.
IN: Clarke, Koschitzke, Siposs/Winmar
OUT: Dawson (susp), Johnson (inj), Smith
if we try enough debutants then sooner or later one of them will have a blinder, right?
Yes it does..the deleted players must come from the Interchange players listedstkildathunda wrote:Pretty certain just because he is named on field it doesnt mean he is going to play.. Wrapped for Sippo..Ive got a feeling in my bones about this kid..as must a few of the Match Committee. Very little preseason due to9 a quad injury, started in the Sandy 2nds and a month later hes playing for the Saints
I hope Kosi doesnt play. Even before the ankle injury late in the Brisbane game he looked soo short of a gallop it wasnt funny. Needs a run with Sandy badly
Only negative is that it appears Smith has been tried and found wanting, one thinks another victim of shoddy disposal and decision making, the reason Geary, Eddy and to a lesser extent Heyne were discarded

"general soreness", "illness", "ankle" means they dont and is how they get around it...saint66au wrote:Yes it does..the deleted players must come from the Interchange players listedstkildathunda wrote:Pretty certain just because he is named on field it doesnt mean he is going to play.. I would also like to see the same bench that you prefer! Probably with Winmar as the sub!
Although you are probably right, and we will see the same old plodders come back into the side!
The Saints are coming!
nah. as dcstkfc said earlier, archer was named on the field in round 3 and ended up playing for sandy that weekend instead.saint66au wrote:Yes it does..the deleted players must come from the Interchange players listedstkildathunda wrote:Pretty certain just because he is named on field it doesnt mean he is going to play.. i'm pretty sure the final team has to come from the squad listed, but it can be absolutely any combination of the 25.

That back line does look slow, out of form and without anyone to take the game on.
Look, we hate Harry obrien, but boy does he take the game on and provide run.
Gilbert can do that, physically capable of it just needs to start believing he can.
This game will be all about saints players finding a spark.
