Round 13 - After the 2 months of hell

On the pre game footy show on ONE HD last night, a question was directed to the velvet assassin about the possible ladder position of St Kilda following a very tough schedule leading up to Round 13.
The idiot assessed us as capable of winning only one of these games, (against Melbourne)leaving the Saints with a record of 2 wins, 9 loses and a draw after 13 rounds.
Anyone want to tell me he's wrong ?

i reckon if we get to that point and we're 4 wins, 1 draw, 7 losses then we'll be in with a show. three more wins than right now.

this means we have to beat adelaide and melbourne, and bob up for one against one of carlton, hawks, freo (away), dogs.

sounds just vaguely doable - but a loss tomorrow night will make it really hard.

After rd.13 we must have 6-7 wins on the board. You need on average 12 wins to play finals. Any less than 6 and we're in big trouble. I reckon we'll be ok though.

It's too hard to predict which game we'll win but i'd be very surprised if we don't win any out of that lot...

nah. you're relying on the fact that the draw is even - which it isn't. we'll win the majority after round 13 (if in contention and playing ok) because our draw gets much easier in the second half of the season:

north melbourne (home)
port adelaide (away)
west coast (home)
adelaide (home)
gold coast (away)
fremantle (home)
collingwood (home)
sydney (away)
north melbourne (home)
carlton (away)

we should win six out of ten without really breaking a sweat, and a couple more if we're playing well enough to deserve finals. i reckon that's eight out of ten in the second half of the year which means we'll be fine on 4.5 wins after round 13 - as long as we're coming into some form.

I believe 6 and a 1/2 wins to round 13 will do us in good stead.

We then have 5 should win games which bumps us up to 11 & 1/2.

We should beat Freo at home and North, but the other 3 are troublesome.

I think top 4 is beyond reach, but a home final isn't.

Agree with Lloyd. Our current form and attitude absolutely suggests Melbourne is the only possible win. All those other teams will whip us hard. Gotta be realistic. We are playing disgusting footy and I cant see that turning around.

Hopefully tonight we go backwards with 10 posessions half way through the first quarter again. A good laugh is about all you can hope for these days.
