Tommy Walsh had better make the final cut.

Would hate to see him slip back to the Ressies and from all reports he doesn't deserve to.

Assuming Tommy plays and plays down back, that's some outstanding backline!
I hope Tommy gets a run at FF, though. He started there, but I think now that he's settled into Aussie rules it's time he went back there, so we can see how he goes there now.

ah, sunday, that's good - means the emergencies can hopefully get back in time to play. no-one has to miss out this week!

also good to see ledger getting out on the field for a game. give him a couple of runs and the pressure can start to get him into the senior team.

It isn't a bad list all round, we have a bit more depth than in the past. there are guys there that would be playing seniors in other teams and a good crop of kids.

Cam Sharp is a super star, plays hbf, wing or in the midfield. captain of dragons last year and is playing as a 19 year old. probably would have been drafted last year but had an injury stricken year. Will play very well.

He's named on the extended bench in the seniors aswell... Would be part and parcel of being on the extended bench id say.. Until the Saints final team is announced of which emergencies are flying over..

Dunno.

But if youd come from Ireland as a superstar of their game, played well in seniors when learning the game and then appeared to be going backwards by playing seconds....you'd start to wonder what they are doing in Ireland right now?

Walsh is a player I wouldve punted a bit more on...down back. I reckon his disposal cant be worse than Blakes, he has pace and size and isnt afraid of a contest....infact his disposal cant be worse than Gilberts.....

But we dont do risks...unlike Pies with Marty Clarke?

i'm not sure he's a good example. clarke played 46 games out of a possible 70 in three years - a pretty good return - and then went home. would we really be happy with that same result from walsh?

hopefully he falls in love with the place (oz) and so does his girlfriend.
hopefully he turns into a gun, stays and then entices more Irish lads over to our great game by being a spokesmen and role model for this type of thing.

then plays 200+ and wins a couple of flags with us
thatd be nice

Just tuned in online, nearly quarter time, Sandy up 38-3.

Ryan Gamble has kicked four goals already.

Would have preferred to have tuned into "Siposs with four".

Zebs up 45-3 at quarter time.

Thats the thing though. If we see a no gamer pop up with 4 in a quarter, everyone screams for them to be named the next week. However when it's Gamble,it's overlooked as we know he's no good. Like Eddy and Mini always get leather poisoning in the 2's

Definitely.

Ross speifically mentioned Winmar, Siposs and Ledger in his 3AW interview today, so I guess in the immediate future (i.e. the next few weeks) they're the ones we'd be looking at most closely.

Gamble seems to be a great VFL player, but like those you mentioned, can't quite match that output at AFL level.

Half-time, Sandy 9.8.62, Geelong 5.7.37

Raph Clarke sounds like he's putting in a good effort - at least, the commentators think so.

Is anyone there able to give us a rundown of how the Saints players are going in a bit more depth?

Anyone know how Ledger went in the 2's.

He was the standout in the NAB.
