Stanley's hurt is he not?
One change this week IMO. WJ for RS.
And I reckon we'll be a better balanced side for it.
Gee wouldn't it be good to get a multiple goal debut from a young forward.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I watched a 21yo mature age recruit go through a year at chf for springvale......in 2004....he was ok
Then in 05, due to injury he got a crack at chb.....
Now he's a b&f, all aust. And champion....
Will, also mature aged played at chb last year for sandy was ok....switched fwd this year and has improved markedly...
Is he the reverse fisher???

Apart from being directly responsible for 3 of the last quarter goals you mean? Who do you reckon knocked the pill out from under the pack for us to goal from? Who spotted up Steven with a lovely chip pass for a goal?borderbarry wrote:I would like to add McQualter to the Outs... DId not do enough when he came on.
Out....McQualter, and (If injured) Kosi Stanley

Im no Mqualter fan BUT he did do a coupleof pressure things when it mattered.St DAC wrote:Apart from being directly responsible for 3 of the last quarter goals you mean? Im actually warming to him moving down back for the small backman role who can actually dispose of the ball.....maybe as Baker replacement...

He did do a few important things however I think most criticism arises because of his role as sub. For a fresh player he probably didn't have the impact many would have hoped for.Teflon wrote:Im no Mqualter fan BUT he did do a coupleof pressure things when it mattered.St DAC wrote:Apart from being directly responsible for 3 of the last quarter goals you mean? Mind you, four games in and none of our subs have really given us a match winning lift.

can we talk about johnson in this thread? mcqualter not relevant.
johnson/stanley/kosi
2 of those 3 will play this week.
so Will is a real chance to debut. can he take his vfl form in to the afl?
thats the big question. we certainly need him to. neither kosi nor stanley will provide any answers down fwd this year.

If you're suggesting Stanley and Kosi may be outs, who would be the other in?

David Misson said in this week's "Tuesday Check-Up" that Stanley had hamstring tightness, but taking him off was equally about bringing Mini on in the tough conditions...The weather forecast for Adelaide at the moment is cold and wet, so I think that harms Stanley's and Johnson's chances for selection.

McQualter will retain his place.
Only out will be Stanley, whether he has tight hamstrings or not, we cannot have both him and Kosi being ineffective in the forward line. He would have been subbed off anyway last week.
Johnson should come in. He has been the stand out for forward pressure at Sandy, and isn't as cumbersome as either Kosi or Stanley, so he could be a better option than Gamble as a 3rd Key Forward.
I think if he has 0 kicks and 0 handballs, but 5 tackles, he will have done his job.
