Cauliflower v Brussel Sprouts
It was hard to choose a more palatable option at first. Ripper game so far. I didn't think I'd back either team, as I hate them both immensely, but it turns out I hate Cauliflower more.
Everytime the ball goes near Luke Ball or Maxwell, I'm hoping for them to get cleaned up big time.
To Brussel Sprouts credit, they're an exciting team with fresh talent. God, I wish we had a gun like Jetta. Hopefull they can get over the line in the last quarter so the Cauliflower Filth don't look so invincible.

I agree. it would be great if an ex Saints captain who gave plenty for our club got cleaned up.Sainternist wrote:It was hard to choose a more palatable option at first. Ripper game so far. I didn't think I'd back either team, as I hate them both immensely, but it turns out I hate Cauliflower more.

Jetta was in amongst it, but thought he was pretty poor overall...Sainternist wrote:God, I wish we had a gun like Jetta.
Honestly wouldn't think he'd be any good in our side...
More likely wish we had a kid like Heppel coming through, he has some serious ability...

GAVE plenty. For a while. Then gave nothing until a grand fonal in which you'd want him to give his all.plugger66 wrote:I agree. it would be great if an ex Saints captain who gave plenty for our club got cleaned up.Sainternist wrote:It was hard to choose a more palatable option at first. Stuff the prick. He's a ghost of Christmas past...
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Re: Cauliflower v Brussel Sprouts
fair call. however, he did seem to spark the bummers into gear in the third quarter. at least he goes in hard, lays a bone cruching tackle on big opponents e.g. harry o'brien, which is more than we can see say about guys like gram these daysSobraz wrote:Jetta was in amongst it, but thought he was pretty poor overall...Sainternist wrote:God, I wish we had a gun like Jetta.

heppel looks good. i wonder if he's any relation to martin heppel who played a couple of games for us in the early 90's?

a ghost of christmas past who'll continue to haunt us until we win that elusive premiership.
argh... it just makes me so mad that he chose the filth (of all clubs) and is a part of their premiership team the year after.
i just wish we were given an explanation as to what really went on

perhaps we do. it's just one of those ones which will stick in our crawa. it just makes me ill that he wore wear a premiership medal and sh*t eating grin in the faces of the men he was weeping like a baby alongside only 12 months before. there's no justice in footyMCG-Unit wrote:Maybe tired of seeing players slammed all the time......people need to get over it already

You are a big advocate for having an opinion on here, and not being ridiculed for it.BigMart wrote:If you believe that you are very silly....
He was one i never questioned....he gave 100% everytime he played, and did so <80% fit for three years
Yet you call me silly.
I believe he decided to leave and go to Collingwood well before the end of 2009.
He even trained in their high altitude rooms while still on our list.

What a weak thing to say - so he stopped trying did he, and when would that be - that year, 2 years before.....SainterK wrote:He was a magpie in his heart when he was still at St Kilda.BigMart wrote:Sour grapes.......
He is making more of a mockery of that ridiculous decision weekly......he is a magpie now, in his heart....
Maybe you could join those who say he hardly ever played well
