Well predicted. Play the kids to give them game time. Think about recruitment end of 2011 for the future not just next year.

Look to develop some of the team attributes of 2004 when we had ample in and under midfield players, some receivers and up to 4 key forward options with Gehrig, Roo, Koschitzke and Hamill who personnally worked hard to keep the ball in the forward area.

Our only problem that year was that our pace was not good enough then too and not strong enough to beat Brisbane.

2009 was great but was a one year plan that needed change therafter. This didnt happen last year resulting in others passing us so quickly. One trick ponies now.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

We practiced that in the 2009 GF.

I know we are slower but as I cant see the game I would like feedback on whether or not the team is at least striving to protect the ball carrrier?

If not, no endeavour and no chance of winning the clearances or allowing for forward delivery and creativity
nada zip
I saw Jones get pole-axed in a pack in the third, he got up hurt
not one saint player stood the essendon culprit
PS we are slow going forward, but we can shoot multiple handballs backwards at the speed of light

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like "perceived pressure" then!

Worrying signs for a team that built its strengths on team pressure.

You watched Sheedy do that in his 3rd year as the Bumbers coach to beat Hawthorn after being beaten unmercifully in the first half.

Ah well at least Essendon could run on and create a simple forward thrust to goal.

Ah, nothing like a relaxing Sunday arvo/night watching the Saints play.

OOH, not pleasant watching on Fox, might switch to CH.7 for some light watching, which is what I got, unfortunately with my team back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Only positive out of tonight, that sl*t will be comitted to an asylum after the relevant authorities watch that show. Tricky Ricky might be in some strife too.

This is the largest score kicked against us for about two years. I think Carlton was the previous holder (129 points - 2010). This is extremely disappointing to say the least considering it's our home game and Riewoldt's 200.

well that's better - nicked off to the waterhole to watch the sun go down.
lot of wildlife around - wallabies, dingos...but no frogs? maybe the snakes have eaten them all.
how'd we end up!
