So do we.

WE need to play more attractive footy to get more bums on seats = money to the club.

Winning is the key of course, but attractive footy helps a lot also.

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Nothing wrong with the brand of footy Friday night, it's just the terrible kicking that is letting it down.

Interstingly we didn't seem to be lethargic or unattractive in the first quarter on Friday night.

And the kamikaze style of 'play on immediately' seemed to be working fine.
Like you 'K' I don't recall us playing with that style last year but we must be imagining it

IMHO it's the 'execution' of the new gamestyle rather than the 'actual' gamestyle that is not working properly as yet.

Classic case in point was Riewoldt in the second quarter instinctively looking to 'give the footy off' every time he marked it on a lead.
That seems differnet to what we've done in the past couple of years.

But hey, what would I know?
There are many on here who obviously understand the nuances of AFL footy much better than I, and they are all seemingly convinced that we've turned from almost champions to shyte in the blink of an eye.

Gold Coast have 12000 members without so much as farting at the top level.

Winning membership is about offering the best lolly bag, making the biggest promises and otherwise convincing unpaying supporters to cough up...

I don't think style has much to do with it at all.

Winning does, though.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Let me see..I remember reading about premiership windows being closed after the 2004 season, and then practically after every season since then- the window is stuck open and will remain stuck open in 2011.
