i was at the club today and asked if they knew what we will be wearing. was told the AFL will email both clubs mid week with the uniform they have to wear, but the lady said if we are playing essendon we will most likely be wearing the white jumper or else they get a fine.

I cone from Scotland, and the Mighty city of Glasgow.

I support Celtic. In a country with a population of less than 6 million, we have won 42 championships, 34 Scottish cups, and 14 Scottish league cups.

We invented slick passing soccer, and subsequently were the first British team to be European Champions in 1967. And we did so with a team, where everyone was from within 50km of the home ground.

We are so much greater than Essendon.

We have 2 Clash strips. We wear the first every away game, unless it clashes. Then we wear the second one.

If we do it, why shouldn't they?

From Michael Nettlefold-St Kilda FC;

St Kilda wore it's clash strip in it's home game v Essendon in 2010 because the traditional/home St Kilda strip clashed with the Essendon clash strip
For heavens sake!!!!!
The whole point of a clash jumper is that is doesn't cause a clash with the home teams traditional jumper.

If it does cause a clash then it ISN'T A PROPER CLASH JUMPER.

So Essendon needs to be told to find a clash jumper that doesn't clash.
That is the proper solution.

Instead what do they come aup with?
They make the home side wear a jumper that doesn't clash with the away teams clash jumper.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

IT's A TOTAL DISGRACE !!!!

Essendon were paid $150,000 by TAC to wear a seatbelt red sash for 1 game last year. If they were to hand over $150,000 for us to wear our clash strip at our home game I'd be reasonably comfortable !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

And if St Kilda finishes higher than Essendon at the end of the year, and if we happen to play them as the HOME team in the grand final....(it's possible that they could knock off the pies for us).

What then?

Would our team be ordered to wear its clash jumper because our traditional home jumper clashes with both Essendon's home and clash jumpers?

Like bloody hell!

But it would be too late then to fairly demand the bombers come up with a design in one week, but equally as ridiculous to demand the home team, the team that earnt that right from blood, sweat and tears throughout the season, to wear a clash jumper in the year's game of games.

The spineless and unprincipled AFL had better sort this out now....as should our spineless club, before their nightmare scenario erupts.
