Anyone elses seat double booked last night?
At least 3 seats in P15, including mine, had been allocated to two seperate people..unbelievable
Fortunately there were enough seats that were either no-shows or unallocated that everyone was able to fiind a seat, but it could have easily been very awkward
Surely in this day and age of computers and databases, this sort of stuff really shouldnt happen. Ive never heard of an instance of Ticketmaster/Ticketek selling the same seat to two people at a regular game, why suddenly does it happen with our reserved seats??
Looks like the distribution system used to give us our MCG seats was ad-hoc to say the least. Of the 100-odd reserved seat holders Id know by at least sight on the MW around where I sit at ES, I saw about 6 within a bay of me. God knows where theyd scattered the other 94 lol
There also seemed to be loads of empty seats on the ground level of the wing in the Southern stand. Were they no-shows, or seats potentially avilable to the public to buy, therefore potentially scattering opposition supporters around OUR reserved seat area at OUR home game??

As far as I can tell there wasn't duplicate seats sold around where we sat in M14. Were a few empty seats though!! Half our row was occupied and a number of seats in front were too.
I reckon they picked memberships out of a draw (like the GF) to allocate the seats because I only saw 2 couples who sit near us at Eitihad. The rest could have been anywhere!

I sat in N8 and one bloke was sitting in my seat that he said he had been allocated. He said someone else had also said they were allocated those seats. It appeared three different people had been allocated the same seats.
Wasn't an issue though as there were plenty to spare. Could get ugly with a bigger crowd.

could be a similar thing this week at Etihad within the social club area.
I was moved from a bay and sent new tickets, someone else I know was originally allocated a seat in the same bay and had not heard about her seat being moved. We were booked in the players area originally, so someone might end up with her on their lap she won't complain too much
