Cripps is a class above and will be a 200 game player.saint66au wrote:one good kick mark or goal apparently gets you a game with the Saints next week. Noone has really demanded a promotion although a few players have shown a bit.....but this ''Cripps is a class above'' type stuff is just nonsense...

Thriller of a finish! Just under two goals down with a minute to play, one from Siposs then an over the shoulder hold on Johnson gave him a free in the goalsquare on the siren. Brilliant. Coburg gutted.

Post game. I stick with the above.saintsRrising wrote:Cripps find the ball...but unfortunately has the "St Kilda" disease on disposing of it.
So far:
Steven looks good and should play next week in the seniors.
Johnson looks good as HF
Lynch has been good down back, and like last year seems more suited to that end.
Walsh has been steady.
Smith has been good.
Heyne. What he does is good, Just needs to do it more.
Sippos. have been impressed. Looks classy and knows how to slot a goal.
Mini. Butchers the ball. Please please do not elevate him next week.
Winmar. Looks good, but is raw and not ready.
Stanley has been ok, but sloppy.
For Essendon I would NOT pick Mini..he turned it over too often and is NOT part of our future.
Consider: Steven (should be a certainty), Lynch, smith, Heyne, Johnson.
Stanley not fantastic, but was ok and I would still prefer to Archer. But Johnno looks worth a crack. Suspect Kosi will be brought in along with Schneider.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
Probably figured it out a while ago but comment picked up by ABC commentators at the game, loose lips sink ships.Con Gorozidis wrote:when did they figure this out?wraiyth wrote:Ross and Greg Hutchinson say they are unhappy with the state of the ground and unhappy with the fact that they are playing on a small ground, and want more space for players to run to as they train/condition players to play on larger grounds.
Lynch given ABC best player award, it was going to Shane Tuck earlier but went with the winning side by the looks.thequarry wrote:Will Johnson! Finished with four goals and Siposs with three - good signs from both. Lynch was pretty good all day in the backline.
Stanley really struggled I thought.
Heyne did some very nice things. Steven had a good first half.
Great win in the end for the Zebras.

Is he finally worth a late first-round pick?backit wrote:Lynch given ABC best player award, it was going to Shane Tuck earlier but went with the winning side by the looks.

I thought Lynch was the best of the Saints. Jack Steven will be better off for the run, but had too much quiet time. Johnston and Sipposs the best of the forwards.
Realisticly, Lynch should play next week, the rest would be better off with Sandy at the moment, although I would consider Johnson. We are desperate for forwards.

maybe after he serves his extensive apprenticeship gets up to near 50 VFL games then he might be considered worthy of his place in the draft equating to some AFL game time.InkerSaint wrote:Is he finally worth a late first-round pick?backit wrote:Lynch given ABC best player award, it was going to Shane Tuck earlier but went with the winning side by the looks.

Interesting Kosi was there as was Steven King who will have some work to do with Stanley to get him to read the play and use his body in contests.borderbarry wrote:I thought Lynch was the best of the Saints. Being short on the bench could have been telling, going with only 22 instead of 23 like Coburg had was telling in keeping players fresh. A lot of saints players cramping and potentially some soft tissue injuries flairing by not being able to go off, Stanley was trying to get off in last few minutes and was instead sent to Full forward.

Zebraman works the scoreboard.backit wrote:105 - 103 I think last kick of the day, was that Zebraman on TV in timekeepers box, rolly they called him, panned in on him last 30 seconds looking desperate not to have to hit the airhorn.Moccha wrote:what was the final score????????
