Will Johnson..a new man

Post: # 1055687Post saintsRrising »

Last year he looked horrible.
This year and today he has looked good as a forward.

Could he be our long lusted for "third tall"?

Pretty quick and athletic for a big bloke.

Let's hope he keeps improving.

Correct
Incorrect
Following the Grand Final replay, Schneider was suspended for the first two matches of the 2011 season for an incident involving Collingwood's Brent Macaffer in the third quarter.
Available next week

I feel vindicated for my most improved player on our list comment now. From a hack to a potential quality forward, still say he looked the most exciting player in the NAB for us. Come on Ross give Will a chance. The forwards are so static it is painful.

2 weeks.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

ST KILDA forward Adam Schneider will miss the first two weeks of the 2011 season after pleading guilty to striking Collingwood's Brent Macaffer in the grand final replay.

Needs to back it up over the next few weeks.

He looked.....VERY good. Confident.

Was good to see.

Our 2's should have their pants on fire at the moment...there's half a dozen spots up for grabs at least. Unfortunately, I don't think R3 against the Bombers is the time to experiment too much, but could see at least one newbie getting a shot.

I thought Will was good in the NAB and would be ready to go as he is a mature age recruit. With Roo playing a more stagnant role on Friday a couple of mobile players in the forward line wouldn't hurt. Will and Schnieder and a confident Milney would be handy. Otherwise play Lynch, the guy was getting better by the game in the NAB, just let him not play on Fletcher this time.

Well if they play Lynch in the backline......

However last year the goss was that Lyon left him on Fletcher to demostrate how much he neededvto improve and work if he wanted to make it in the AFL.

I reckon Sippos should get a go simply because the recitation of his name in commentary would sound very cool.

Big McEvoy gets first hands and Armitage barges and bustles and busts his way forward and eventually squeezes a little give to Jones who tumbles it forward of his left foot. It sits up for Steven who has Goddard screaming past and he rifles a tracer bullet to that man SIPOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSS and he'll line up for his FOURTH goal...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Agreed.

Plus the fact that he can actually kick it, confidently, through the bigger pair of sticks.

That's a real novelty for a Saints player

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?
