If (and its a very big if) we have a chance to win a flag, we may have to take a step back this season and get plenty of time into Stanley, Steven, Cripps, Winmar, Heyne, Simpkin , Archer etc and hope we can saddle up for 2012.

Either that or we rebuild and look at 2015/6.

Bakes was fine, but he is slow. I'm struggling to think who he'd match up against next week. For this week though, he did a very serviceable job...great tackling!

i'd love to drop players. problem is i dont think the players we have available have shown the form to be selected. the problem we have is in the midfield, which is a massive problem because our older younger players are all backman/forwards.

stanley: pre-season mishap. poor/average form in vfl
steven: clearly struggling with injury. see stanley
cahil: kicks a bag tomorrow and he challenges kozi for archers spot
winmar: another backman, exactly what we need
polo: injured
geary: see winmar
johnson: poor/average vfl form. again can only challenge for kozi's spot.
heyne: medium tall showing poor/average vfl form. maybe we need to run him through the midfield in the vfl
