Anything less is complete fail.

No we don't.

kosi will be back for archer next week i think he needs a nother game but they like the older guys not big on young blokes.

the hun stats give him 8 touches, 4 marks, 1 scoring shot - not sure about hitouts, but probably fewer than that as he wasn't in the ruck that much.

i thought it was a decent game, certainly didn't look completely out of place, but neither did he really make much of a mark.

He is a rookie and should have stayed a rookie.
Contributed absolutely nothing tonight, should be playing for Sandy tomorrow, probably early tomorrow.

Maybe we should adopt a Collingwood type forward setup, and play Roo, Kosi and the arrow chucker as big targets with Milney and Schniederman cleaning up when it hits the ground.
Also may need to start resting BJ,Monty and Dal on the half forward line instead of resting on the bench

I remember when that plan really worked, and I loved that forward line:

HF: Hamill, Riewoldt, Koschitzke
F: Milne, Gehrig, Guerra

Milne and Guerra were great crumbers and that HF line stretched every team and smashed most.

When Roo kicked the last goal, he stole the free kick from Archer, who had made the tackle.

If he had have converted in the last quarter it would have been a very good debut, instead it was only solid. He also should have got a free when he was tackled to the ground without the ball about 30m out from goal earlier in the game. He did more than Stanley last year, anyway. Looked like he was still adjusting to the pace of the game but he presents well, can take a good grab and applies pressure. Worth persevering with

He was just okay, but I thought that structurally we looked far more dangerous when he was in the forward half.

Didn't get enough time up forward. Is not a ruckman and unfair to play him as one. (he's only 193cm)

Not a great option against a fast running Essendon, but we'll see.....

Showed a bit IMO, and has a lot to work with... Obviosuly is raw and was overawed a bit, but was not our worst by a long way, and he can improve quickly with opportunity...

Reminds me a bit of Chris Dawes from the Pies, who early on looked unco and sub par, but grew into his body and talents...

Worth persisting with, hope he plays next week...

shouldve had at least 3 shots at goal... 1 stolen 1 ignored :P

but hey i was happy watching him... did his job and obviously him being down forward meant something because milne had 3 goals 7 behinds... :P

if nothing else he straightens our structure up with kosi out... hoping they put kosi in vfl next week and leave archer in forward line...

guy looks like he can be some one special in the not to distant future

I thought he was a real positive. He presents and spreads the defence. Good effort and nearly won us the game when it was on the line, kids usually go into their shell, but he lifted, if everyone forced themselves into the game like Archer in the last 10 minutes we could have won.

Seem to recall a set shot goal from 50 in the NAB Cup.

I haven't seen enough of him to call him a dud kick. Could be nerves. Time will tell.
