Interesting article on the development of young players at Pies, Cats, Dogs, Saints and Dockers for those interested.

Thanks - adds statistical underpinning to the BIGGEST debate on this website
which is"

are we playing our kids enough for them to improve or are the kids just no good?

is it poor recruiting or poor development.

i guess this blog leaves that question unanswered. but the blog does indicate that maybe the saints should be giving more games to "kids" than it has.

i don't have a problem with the article itself.....grist for the mill...only with its half-wit author....

maybe he wrote it himself. just because he wears black and white stripes doesn't mean he's necessarily a moron.

I didn't read the article but seriously you can't give any credence to an article from nickmaxwell.com.au

Maxwell didn't write it.
A collingwood supporter wrote it and posted it on the 'nickmaxwell.com.au' website.
It quite clearly states that the views are not those of Nick Maxwell or the people at nickmaxwell.com.au.

It is nothing more than a blog by a collingwood supporter trying to substantiate his own views of footy.

In that respect it is no different to the piece written by InkerSaint for this forum.
And as such should be read in that context.
If some wish to give it credence to bolster their own opinions, then good luck to them.
