Post: # 1049004Post Saint05 »

Is the club still looking for one is Centrebet the major sponsor? I saw on the clubs website that its listed as a "Major Partner", i just wasnt sure if this was another term for major sponsor thats all.

Sorry if this sounds like old news :( Thank you if you could clear this up!

The press release doesn't do anything to convince me that Centrebet is a Major Sponsor in the old speak, rather it seems to indicate that Centrebet is one of a number of sponsors of equal or similar weight. The size of the logo is an interesting one also - significantly smaller than that of Linen House, whose sponsorship dollars we know to have been reduced from this year.

Has anyone seen any $ figures associated with this deal? Even rumoured?

Linen House has actually increased the $ value of their sponsorship. They are absolutely huge supporters of the club, and would make the biggest financial contribution of anyone to the Saints. They deserve the biggest logo on the jumper!

It is Jeld-Wen you are thinking of, who went from being "major sponsor" to a middle-tier sponsor.

"Parnter" is the term now used in the industry, that is why you read "major partner" instead if "sponsor"

A bit like partner being used instead of husband or wife, nobody prepared to commit.

Yes it is a crappy logo but at least it's colour coordinated to the jumper.

Unlike the brightly coloured Hugall & Hoyle monstrosity all those years ago

wow, hugall and hoile, that's going back. i seem to recall them being the major sponsor after velentines greetings and before snowdeli. nothing like that big ol' rainbow logo going above the club's crest. wish i had one of those jumpers. pura milk looked the worst.

it seems we've almost hit for the cycle with major sponsors - tobacco, alcohol and now gambling

Quite right Legendary, was mixing up JW and Linen House, that clears things up for me.
