NAB Challenge the number on the bench is usually agreed within the teams in conciliation with the AFL.saintbrat wrote:k- but do teams have the option of doing that?

St. Kilda and Sydney played with 23 tonight.
I remember not long ago both St. Kilda and The Dogs played with 12 on the bench.
Goddard.
I'm not going to get carried away given we were walloped by Port a couple of years back in our final NAB challenge match and then soundly beaten by the Dogs last year in the NAB GF

A flurry of late goals before the siren. Trying to work it out... looks like Jetta kicked his 3rd and the Saints kicked 2 but I have NFI who kicked them

The closest thing to stats is fantasy freako's rave. It has all the dream team scores for all preseason games.SainterK wrote:I wonder if you can see the stats anywhere, probably not?
It might not tell you possessions, marks, tackles etc but you get an idea.
It's on the champion data web site. You just need register for the weekly email...
Not great signs but remember no Fisher, Dawson or Schneider, and the Swans are always hard to break down.
Bring on Geelong!

Sadly, one of those deficiencies is our inability too score.
It would be good to hear if Roo and a few others we're rested, but for the last two weeks we are still relying on Roo and Milne to kick our goals.
Yes a few are missing, notably Kosi and Schneids, but neither are going to be there for the first month and we need to win early games, especially Geelong to get confidence up and get season going.
I can see Stanley coming in to provide that extra tall up forward and Dawson down back.
I'd like to see Ledger and possibly Cripps get a first up run.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

swans player - Nick Smith has just been on SEN
he played on Milne but only played 80 min.
less players on bench- similiar to regular season
good hit out- good 4 weeks
doesn't mean much now

Facebook saying Polo dislocated his finger, Jones had concussion (again)
Short report from foxsports
he outstanding pre-season form of Sydney Swans captain Adam Goodes has continued in Coffs Harbour.
Goodes kicked four goals roaming the forward line as the Swans overcame a lacklustre St Kilda 12.12 (84) to 8.5 (53) on Saturday night.
Goodes combined well with Jesse White as they took turns alternating between the goal square and and high half forward.
Even more pleasing for new coach John Longmire was the job Heath Grundy did curtailing Saints skipper Nick Riewoldt.
The centre half-forward was held to only early goal despite the good work of Lenny Hayes and Nick Dal Santo in the midfield.
